This is a disgusting, murderous organization that is the leading funder of abortion. Last year alone, they used 165 million dollars of our tax money for these awful things.

I'm so glad that Congress is now alerted to this fact and getting involved now. I do not want my hard-earned tax dollars going to support this un-Godly organization.

What do you think of this atrocity?

I cannot believe people actually compare national security issues with PP.
It's amazing that people actully believe that secularists are open minded with no agenda, and the only people with an agenda are people who actually believe there is such a thing as moral absolutes. I don't know the stats, but when a young woman who is carrying a baby in her womb with different DNA (not an appendage, but a living person who is eating) what are the odds that PP actually counsels them for other alternatives than murder the baby. I'm taking about abortiion on demand where the life of the mother is not in danger. (how often is that?) There are a number of couples who cannot have children and would like to adopt a child. I don't want my tax dollars going to them either. By the way, all the people who are concerned about the church not paying taxes, your tax dollars are not supporting them so you don't have to worry about it. The good news is, for anyone who has had an abortion, it is not the unpardonable sin, God's grace and forgiveness will accept you into His kingdom if you are willing to repent and believe that Jesus died and rose again to save you from your sin and give you new life, freedom and joy. There is hope, It is not in any institution, it is in Jesus Christ Himself.

All I can say is that it's a not-for-profit organization. I could go all day on the morality of abortion and all that but that's not the only thing they do. They also provide birth control solutions and counsel would be mothers on other avenues, including adoption.

I do agree that abortion for the sole purpose of birth control is absolutely wrong. But there are some cases where it comes down to the mother being in danger and the survival rate of the child being absolutely zero. Each should be weighed accordingly.

I am a Methodist (I don't know whether that is good or bad in this case, I am just stating fact) and in our book of discipline it boils down to a lot of prayer and meditation is required before even considering abortion for a solution to anything.

Planned Parenthood also supports the use of contraceptives. I'd like to see a religion do that.

By the way, our government was desigend to be "un-Godly." If you don't like it, move.

edit: Churches do nothing but help the people that are too mentally fragile to exist on their own procreate and pass on their genetic weaknesses. And AGAIN, Planned Parenthood is not primarily an abortion clinic. It helps women. I suppose you'd like to get rid of batterd women's shelters too because women are escaping the "justice" of their husbands?

edit: Contraceptives protect people from diseases, and unwanted pregnancies. Abstinence has been proven ineffective. People are learning that sex is not the dirty thing Christianity like to preach it is.

edit: Pills could be illegal drugs, so it only makes sense to verify it with the parent first. Condoms are a safety measure, and whether you like to admit it or not, they are heavily used by kids in school.

edit: The so-called war on "terror" is not necessary, and belongs in Politics and Government, not Religion and Spirituality. (Has anyone noticed how since a war enconomy was used to bring us out of the Depression, we have been in constant wars ever since?)

edit: If the child did not trust their parents enough to tell them in the first place, then no, I don't think the doctors should tell the parents. Too many parents could react violently, like mine.

As far as I know Abortionist have not murdered a single person. I do know The Army of God have killed many innocent people. So you can take that opinion and keep it to yourself.

To answer your question they get tax dollars to educate Americans on sex, to test for diseases to help stop epidemics and to preform abortion because women were dying from infections and botched abortions before they came around.

I don't like my tax dollars going to Catholic Schools where the Catholic Church is brewing their new crop of brainwashes for the real world. I don't like the Christian Coalition of America telling me what I can watch and can't watch on TV or what movies to see or how to raise my kids or what my kids should and shouldn't learn in school.

I do not want my money going to this war or our foreign policy or George Bush's salary, but that's how government works. Planned Parenthood provides important education and prevention services, among many others. I'd imagine that Planned Parenthood helps lower the number of abortions overall by providing education and contraceptives. So I'd think you would support such an organization. However, you appear to not see the bigger picture, which is common among dissenters like yourself.

planned parenthood is not just an abortion clinic nor does it cater to just minors.
I work but no health insurance through job and I can not afford private health care, I have gone to planned parenthood for birth control, annual paps etc. I see nothing wrong with that, I could just be out having baby after baby and living on welfare.

Yeah, and I dont want my tax money going to Bush's Faith Based Initiatives. But it happens anyways... And, when are churches going to start paying taxes?

PP does a whole lot more than just abortions. Like, they actually assist in stopping the spreading of STDs by giving out condoms for free. What does religion teach? Abstinence - they teach that we should ignore our urges and simply not react upon them. In the meantime, teen pregancy rates soar, because religion ignores REALITY - people will and always have engaged in sex.

Your idea that contraceptive PROMOTES sex is simply a fabrication and is untrue. Proof: Im certain that, somewhere close to your residence, is a store specializing in porn sales. I suspect you find yourself there constantly, right? Cuz its promoting sex, after all... Simply ridiculous. That is the same argument for stopping the vaccination for uterine cancer - OMG, girls are going to run around and be little whores now, because they dont have to worry about catching uterine cancer!!!! Just a little FYI - in Europe, where they have legalized marijuana use, they have actually seen a DECREASE in usage....so, having legal marijuana doesnt promote its use. Why would contraception promote sex acts?

I don't think is an atrocity. These people provide service for the people and they don't only provide abortions but they give birth control to anybody who wants it. Churches don't do much and they are tax-exempt which I think is ridiculous. You might think churches is okay but is still an institution that gets away with evading taxes. Planned parenthood is an institution too and you might be pro-life but others think differently.

Given a CHOICE between THEM and OPPENHEIMER AND HIS A BOMB TEAM, I'd chose Planned PArenthood.

Which would you choose.

You only have two choices.

Planned Parenthood

The Mahattan project

Tax dollar will go to ONE or the OTHER no where else, no other choice.

Now, chose.

Let's see where your head is at!
