we all know Yahweh, Allah, etc... are very good at being angry, jealous, and vengeful, but do they ever laugh?
Surely somebody like Tragic Typos could put a smile on even their dour faces....

My godds laugh their butts off. As Depeche Mode said...

"I think god's got a sick sense of humor and when I die, I expect to find him laughing"

It's the only way I can make it through the day.

Most 'gods' seem to be humourless, except for the greek , roman and viking gods, who seemed to enjoy life!

Are you already a Realist? - Do you find yourself thinking about reality? Do you think that it's important that what you believe in is actually real? Do you think for yourself rather than just believing what you are told to believe? When you counsel friends on important matters, do you advise them to take reality into consideration? Do you believe the world would be better off if reality were a more important part of society? if you answered YES to these questions you may already be a Realist.

Well, I don't think of my god (s) in that way..
(although i must say i dont give them too much thought)

anyways the god/s i picture is very able to laugh, in fact s/he sits there and laughs at the ways we make fools of ourselves from time to time, and sometimes the same thing makes him really sad, and he's not vengeful. when you die you see him, he's like a parent inquiring about your day, and then he might give you a look that makes you feel ashamed for all you've done, and sends you wherever you want to go...

i know, i know, sounds way too good, but why not?

Psalms 2:1-6

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision

I have often felt that the existence of the duck-billed platypus is proof that God has a sense of humor, but that may just be me.

Yes, I think He laughs all the time.

I think so.

Man sees pretty girl and takes a sniff of her and she turns and slaps him. The man has a shocked look on his face. Whatdid he do!

God is up in heaven rolling over that one.

You have to admit our mating ritual is pretty hysterical!

Yes most definitely, In fact I would say that Love, fun, and laughter are much easier and more frequently then anger, jealousy and vengeance.
I mean just look at the duck-billed platypus!

Of course God can laugh. I believe every emotion we have comes from God.

And I believe he has a sense of humor...putting the knee caps on backwards on the Flamingos? That is just funny. =)

Of course God can laugh. Why else would we have a sense of humor? And geez, look at the duckbill platypus, He must have had a good belly-rocker after creating that!

1. God, the Lord (Jewish & Christian God)-YES! He has created us to enjoy life!!! Look at the Psalms & Ecclesiastes.
2. "While you are young, experience it, enjoy every minute of it...but don't forget your creator." quote for Ecclesiastes.
3. In the Bible it says that God "laughs".
4. I don't know about the Muslim God (different from the God of the Bible). I haven't seen anything about laughter in his book, but I have seen mercy & tolerence.
