I think taking him out to dinner or somewhere nice would be a nice gift. At his age the best gift a grandchild can give is to spend time with him. That would mean more to him than some material thing.

What does your grandfather like? Does he like sports? If so, get a DVD of his favorite sports team, a jersey with his favorite team logo (go to Sports Authority or Modell's), if you have the money, go on-line and buy two tickets to a game and take him! How about a day together during which you treat? Go play pool, bowling, something that only you and he can bond over. Use one of the templates from Microsoft an make a coupon that entitles him to a service from you, something that he would otherwise hate to do: wash and detail his car, mow the law, whatever.... Just make it specific to what HE would like. Enjoy!

Take your grandfather out to eat and spend some time with him. If that too much then think about what he's into. If he's into fishing then get him a new fishing pole or something like that.

how old is he? ummm i think elderly people loved to have company! So take him out and just ask him questions about himself! What was life like when he was young? Something he never told anybody? Just learn about your Grandfather and I think most elderly people really appreciate the TIME!!
