A country so stricken with poverty and diseases. It makes me sick to my stomach that we can 'fight a war on terror', but we can't help out our brothers and sisters in Africa. I wish everyone would brainstorm ideas and let's DO SOMETHING!!! Anyone can make a difference.

I have a friend in South Africa and she is White (European) but born there. She has raised 3 kids there. We talk all the time.
She is worried that if Nelson Mandella dies there will be an uprising, and racial war. She lives in fear.
She loves her country and the people there. She speaks 9 languages many that are African.
She worries every day about the drivers there as there are fatal accidents every day. People are dying on the roads and no one cares, so she says.
The Governement is the Problem. But South Africa has to stand UNITED and develope their country for peace and posperity.
How can the US help?
First of all, we need a President who cares. If our President took on So. Africa he would try to change it and make it HIS WAY. So lets be glad Bush did not get involved in this country at this time. He would have ruined it like he did Iraq.

Yes, we all need to care and we can help in small ways without our governments help. But can we police the world?
No. But we need to call the Super Wealthy to step to the plate and help make changes. These Billionaires have made money of the Us citizens and they can certainly use some of their wealth to help.
Let get:
Bill Gates
Michael Jackson
Madonna
The Clintons
and more to donate.
Oprah is doing her part.

i feel sorry for the people over there . this has been going on all my life i am 44. i am aware that it is not possible for the rate of death to be so high yet starvation continue unless the birth rate is out of this world.
so the real answer is birth control. no food unless the male is castrated. i know this sounds harsh but i am also aware that the blacks have this crazy idea that aids is a made up story by the whites so they wont breed. so no condom use. as well
some leaders over there have more then 50 wife's and 100's of children. castration is the only possible answer . we just have them form lines each male is castrated then his wife or family follows behind and gets food and takes him home.
simple eh. cattle can have this done by farmers who have had only one hours training and infection is rare because of the heat of the tools.
don't go saying this is racists this is truly what i belief is the answer to this matter is. the population must match the food supply within the nation.

unfortunately, I think permanent change must come from within. there is too much corruption and until the people rise up and demand change with pen or sword, it will remain as it is.
