A country so stricken with poverty and diseases. It makes me sick to my stomach that we can 'fight a war on terror', but we can't help out our brothers and sisters in Africa. I wish everyone would brainstorm ideas and let's DO SOMETHING!!! Anyone can make a difference.

There are so many questions like this!

If you are Really, Really Serious then do some research about the present ANC government.

Google "government South Africa" - find out the names of the present ministers.

Google each name individually to find out how this person has contributed to the new South Africa.

The results you will find are staggering!

Ministers promoting garlic, beetroot and lemons as a cure for AIDs, A president and Health minister who deny that HIV causes AIDs, A fired deputy president involved with rape, fraud, bribery, tax evasion charges, a minister connected with the mafia, and facing corruption charges etc. etc.

Don´t take my word for it!
Do the research yourself, I dare you!

And then ..... spread the truth.
The truth is always the best weapon but there are plenty who would not want you to spread it.

I think the shame of South Africa and the Colonization of the African nations by Europeans is this. All the left winged, bleeding hearts wanted the Europeans out and the Africans to hand over immediate power to an undereducated, tribal based population without a clear and concise plan to make sure they were ready for the power shift.

During Apartheid, which I understood and partially agreed with, all the world saw was a black country run by whites. Though this is true, it was the whites who suppressed tribal warfare and enforced the law. many proposals were put forth in the seventies and eighties to slowly alleviate this situation over time so that the populace was prepared for the takeover of power and to keep order in place. The leftist only saw the negatives, which there were, I am not in denial over here, and forced immediate pressure from the world to force a hand over.

After a few years, the results are crime, poverty, tribal and gangland warfare, and wave after wave of disease with no money for medical care. This also happened in Zimbabwe, when they took the lands of white farmers and redistributed it to uneducated, poor blacks who had no knowledge of raising crops. Now both S. Africa and Zimbabwe want the whites to return and fix everything at the expense of the same people they threw off their lands and make everything work, but without any power base and at extortionist taxes. For some strange reason, the whites are refusing too do so and the rest of the world is watching the house burn down where the kids were playing with matches.

It pisses me off that so many people didn't know about the many civil wars going on in Africa which resulted in millions of people being killed.

I hate to say it but it's going to take several white celebrities in order for some people to realize how serious it is. Prince Harry is doing a little bit over there and so is Oprah and Bono, but it's not enough. I know that there's great organizations such as Save Africa's Children to which Denzel Washington and Angela Bassett have contributed, but very few people know about it.

And Preacher, there are more Christians in South Africa than there are here in the U.S., so don't even try it.

The effort should be worldwide to have a tremendous effect on South Africa. We should tap International Organizations on women, mostly they focussed on the welfare of the oppressed people particularly women.

Listen to someone who has been there.
It was safer before , when the nasty whites were in charge. They made sure the children learned to read and write. There were jobs, albeit low paying ones. But then the UN and bleeding hearts all over wanted black majority rule. Now you got it .Deal with it like grown ups.

It wasn't always that way, show me an African country where blacks are in charge where poverty isn't rampant. Look at Haiti for Pete's sake, 1st independent country run by blacks in the western hemisphere and what do you see? One strong corrupt man after another and crushing poverty....hmmmmm

unfortunately, I think permanent change must come from within. there is too much corruption and until the people rise up and demand change with pen or sword, it will remain as it is.
