Try drinking some tea, something that takes a little while to make and that you can sit and relax for a few minutes before drinking and while drinking it. It takes your mind off alot of things, you will be able to sit for a few moments and really think about what choices you want to make regarding your health.
If you feel like you must eat something out of habit, this is a good way to distract yourself until you have time to think if you are really hungry, or just bored, and whether you are making a good food choice or is there something better.

There are some really good flavored teas, and the hot drink takes a while to drink, and lets you just think stuff over. If your parents are supportive of your efforts, maybe this is something you can do together once a day or something. Maybe in the morning, or the evening before making dinner.

Tea wont help your problem all together, but I think it will give you something to do that feels good and in my opinion it makes me feel like doing something better for myself. Just taking those few calm minutes and day and thinking just about myself and what I want, it works well.

Remember that 27 or 29 yr old lady with two kids who weighed almost 900 pounds? The one who died a few days ago? Maybe you should make her an example and an inspiration as to WHY YOU NEED TO TRIM DOWN and change you eating habits. My heart went out to her and her children, don't be a victim of obesity.

Have you tried apetite surpressents? I know its not ideal but it helped me to stop eating all the things I am not supposed to that put my cholestrol up. I was constantly snacking on crips and sweets and pies etc. until my mother got a pack of THINZ from a lady at the bookclub.

I took one in the morning after breakfast and then did not feel hungry until about 3pm which was a miricale to me. It realy helped to change my eating habits. I don't take them anymore but they did the job.

Good luck whatever you do I know it aint easy ;o)

ps. here's some info on thinz if you wanted to give it a try. www.shoppingrebates.eu

If you NEED to eat to fill yourself, choose healthy things that can fill you up.

When I am very hungry I go for one of the quaker rice cakes, or some pickles. Both are high in sodium, but they fill you up with little calories.

Eating fresh raw veggies is the best thing ever, my cholesterol is so low from that.

AVOID meat and dairy at ALL costs.

It could be genetic, but eating properly and exercise always helps.
