It depends on where you live as to the cost. The best idea is to ring up everyone from your favourite vets to the Cat Protection Society or equivalent in your area, explain you have two little ladies who need to be spayed and ask if any of them can help you with the payments. I know areas where the local council helps to pay for part of the charges to avoid having unwanted cats that damage the environment. Some vets are good enough to give you a cheaper rate when you have more than one kitty. Also, they may be prepared to spread the payment over a few weeks for you. I did this when I was not financially well off and had a lovely little stray I gave a home to. The vet asked for so much down on the day of the operation and allowed me to pay off the remainder over a few weeks to ease my financial burden. Needless to say, because they were kind and understanding to me, I stayed loyal to that vetinary practice for a long time and recommended them to others. Good luck and it is worth having your kitties spayed. It is more peaceful and easy on your little ladies and better not to bring unwanted litters into the world. You are doing a very responsible thing. Good on you.

Best wishes,

Lisa

The Vet bills are diffrent depending on the Vet. So to be honest I couldn't tell you. I know that in Evansville, IN. There is a vet clinic that holds what they call the "Nuter Scooter" Which is basically where they devote an entire day to doing nothing much spay and nutering cats. This way it is cheaper for everyone. This cost about $50 per cat. The only way to really tell how much it is going to cost, is to grab the yellow pages and a pen and paper. Call every vet clinc in the area. And compair costs. Then head your cats on over to the cheapest. Good luck and God Bless!

Pull out the yellow pages and call the vets in your area. Sometimes the Humane Society is cheaper but not always. Maybe they can get you a discount for two cats. But you'd better keep them inside if you haven't done the spaying yet. My sister's cat ended up with kittens at the point of spaying. Kittens that I'm sure were aborted.

Never had a cat spayed, but have had 2 neutered. It cost $45 to neuter. I think its a bit more though to have them spayed, because female cats have more to be operated on. Call your local vet and ask them about the cost.

It usually costs anywhere from $100-150. Some vets will "give you a deal" for doing more than one at a time. Sometimes, depending on where you live, there are animal welfare organizations who are affiliated with area Vets and will spay or neuter for a greatly reduced price. Call your local ASPCA, or Humane Society to see if they have any recommendations, or check some websites under Animal Welfare, or Humane Society, or ASPCA, and check in your area. Best of luck to you

Generally spaying costs about $75. This includes an office visit.

the Cinderella fund can make the cost less check out your areas pet control for more info. in my area it can cost any were from 70-120 to fix a cat. i just had all 3 of mine fixed. i used the Cinderella fund which made each one 30 dollars cheaper. you may not have the time for it though if they are already in heat.

why did you get two cats if you are concerned with cost? I get so upset when people get pets and then worry about cost. It will probably cost between $50 to $75 each and do it for their health. So you don't go out and party with your friends take care of your pets first. They are going to cost money all their lives.

It depends if the cat is male or female and where you go. My vet is $30 for a male and $75 for a female. A female's surgery is much more complicated.

In evansville it was around 70 dollars and that was for a 15 dollar pain medicine shot after the procedure, and also the flea medicine b/c somehow my inside pet had fleas???? It was worth it just b/c he dosent whine to go out and dosent spray....so for a female it would be worth it not to be stuck with 9 kittens you cant take care of...
