I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!

Take your body measurements and write them down. Take them once a month or so, so that when you don't see a change in the scale, you have something to refer back to.
Check out this site, it will tell you how many calories you can eat to maintain your current weight, eat less and you will lose.

You may also want to switch up your workout routine. Your body adjusts to what you are doing and plateau's when you do the same routine on a daily basis.
Go get a couple workout videos and do those at home when you don't get to the gym.

Good Luck & Keep Up the Great Work!

PLEASE if you don't mind my answer then read ahead, according to researcher in 2006, a good hard sex will make you loss a couple pound each time, due to the sweat and moving muscle, this is a fact.

Another trick that i know is by drinking a lots of water so that will fill you up in the case of hunger. Vegetable are not alway the best way to keep you from diet...you go head and try some rice, Rice are also good to fill you up too and it has none fat in it...

I would start a food journal and write down what you ate and how much of it you ate. to me it sounds like since you have not lost any weight at all, your calories are still too high for the amount of activity.

also, remember muscle weights more than fat, so how do your clothes fit? are you loosing inches at all?
if not then I would really watch your portions, and track calories.

There is a website that is free and gives meal plans and it caters to vegitarians too. it is called :
sparkspeople.com
I
t's just as good as ediets or weight watchers online but its free. and it gives you a lot of awesome advice. workouts, food, recipies, you can journal, you can track your weight. it is a really awesome website. also since you are vegitarian it will make sure your eating enough. vegitarians have to be so careful and make sure your getting enough protein and iron. this website will ensure your eating healthy! remember to drink lots of water!

I hope that helps out. and Kudos on wanting to loose weight the healthy way! good job and good luck!

im doing the same thing. i have been getting up before work every morning and just walking on the treadmill for 2 miles...just walking, but i put it on the highest incline it can go on. then AFTER work i go back to the gym and do the bike for 30 minutes fast paced. then get back on the treadmil and do a jog for 2 miles...then do weights.

the more cardio, the better!

it is better for you to work out in the morning, because it speeds up your metabolism. allows you to burn more calories throughout the day.
and then just eat small snacks. i have been bringing carrots to work, making salads for after the gym. and i bought a weight watchers cookbook. so far...so good.

keep working at it even if you dont see results...its working! it just takes a while.
goodluck!

There is always a chance that you wont loose too much weight, or even at all, but that doesn't mean you wont get thinner.

When change your diet and start exercising, your fat will be converted in muscle, only when you reach a certain point you may loose some weight.

There are high fiber cookies that come with a choice of chocolate chip or oatmeal raisin. Sounds weird but they really DO help in weight loss. Read about them.
