..do women still experience pain in childbirth? the Bible clearly states that this was a punishment for sinning and disobeying God. Jesus has come and died and washed away those sins...so why do women, no matter how devout they are, still experience pain in childbirth?

Fish just blast out thousands of eggs without a second thought. Lots of those eggs get eaten immediately and the fish doesn't care.

I think the reason for the pain is to make it psychologically meaningful. In some ways I think the pain strengthen's the emotional bond between the mother and the child.

The blood of Jesus given freely by Him on Calvary's cross, did and does even today two thousand years later, cleanse and washes away ALL our sins! Jesus died to take away yours and my sins, and ALL other sinners that ever was, is now or will be living on this planet! But the law of gravity still applies!
If you deliberately jump off a house roof, and break your arm or leg or both, will you still not have to wear a cast? Even if all your friend forgive you for your foolish prank! Do you see here what I'm telling you?
The blood of Jesus keeps us from the penalty of eternal damnation in a 'fiery' Hades, but it doesn't stop in the least the effects of Adam's 'original' sin which we humans actually inherit from him down through the generations!!! It doesn't stop the often terrible effect of sin in the world. What it does do though, is SAVE us from ourselves so we don't have to face the Great White Throne judgment!! PTL

Notice that Jesus dieing for our sins was a SPIRITUAL thing. It was the sins of your SOUL. God made a promise and MUST keep it regardless. The same concept applies to the 40 day flood. God promised never to flood the Earth again, yet various AREAS have catastrophic floods. God promises are always kept. Just as mankind still has to toil and work to make a living as God imposed on Adam when he imposed punishment on Eve. Should man also not need to work since Christ died? If that were the case we ALL would be running to church.........lol. The point and end of it is God made a promise and is sticking to it. The washing of our sins was a SPIRITUAL washing of the stains of the soul... NOT a physical release from the toils of mankind!!! I hope this helps!

Jesus' sacrifice is available for anyone to claim but it has not yet been fully applied to mankind yet. When it has been fully applied all people on earth will be perfect and Jesus will hand the earth back over to his Father so that God will rule over us directly as he did Adam.

Having been washed cleaned by the blood of the Lamb does not remove the effects of sin as we all still suffer from others sins

silly question...

if jesus really had washed away our sins, then we would all live in paradise, because he also would have had washed away Eve's sin when she ate the apple right?

Many texts of the bible are very symbolic and have deeper meaning than the acutal literal meaning.

You may note that the president of the U.S. is elected in November.
He is not sworn in until January.
Jesus' death did, indeed, set the basis for washing away sin.
It shall be 'inaugurated' in the near future.

Having a toothache and getting a root canal hurt me more than 40 hours of labor did.

May God Bless you.
