GUIs involve graphical mouse-driven elements. This make a program a lot more user-friendly in many peoples opinions. Command driven interfaces take typed commands, and although this is generally less user-friendly, it is almost always faster and more powerful. As children we learn to read with picture books, and when we progress to adulthood we ditch the pictures in favour of more words, more information. For some unknown reason people treat computers differently, and insist on pretty pictures and labour-intensive mouse operations throughout... Rawlyn.

Well... a Graphical user interface would be something like windows.
A non-graphical user interface would be like DOS or UNIX.

That, my friend, is what computing used to be. To see a non GUI interface, start a DOS prompt window and expand it to full screen.
That is also what computing SHOULD be. All the pretty pictures serve only to insult the user and slow the computer to a crawl.

NGUI would be CUI (command prompt) and Braille (for the blind).
Audio used in concept cars' computer and high-end PDA would be also an NGUI.
