Hiya, Catholic here. Of course you can be a part of this. You may be asked to pick God Parents. THEY would be required to be Catholic. But you aren't.
The God Parents would be "in charge" of making sure your child got proper Catholic formation. My God Parent's did no such thing. They had no idea that I left the church for almost 20 years.
So you see, there's a lot of flexibility.
I should probably call my one remaining God Parent and let her know I'm joining the Secular Franciscan Order.
Thanks for the reminder!!!
Feel free to drop me a note if you've got more questions.

Talk to the priest who will perform the baptism. He may or may not have a problem with any of a number of aspects of this situation. He may also ask that you make certain commitments about raising your daughter as a catholic which you may not want to make.
You and your boyfriend also need to understand that the catholic church will accept a protestant baptism. If you are a christian, your daughter can be baptized in your church and still end up as a catholic without having to be rebaptized.
If you are not a christian (as an Atheist, I can always hope this is the case) and your boyfriend's priest is not very flexible, I would try to find a local liberal protestant church which might be willing to baptize your daughter even though you are not christian. You might start with the Methodist or Episcopal churches.

Just think about the marriage part for the future and how "open" the church can be. When I tried to marry my husband who is Catholic (I'm not) I researched and found what's called an "Order of Dispensation" which means we could get married outside of the Catholic church or even by a Protestant minister and the church would accept it and deem it a holy union. Unfortunantly not one single priest would return our calls in helping us with this ever though it is an actual rule in their church! We looked everywhere! So yes, you can have your child baptized b/c that's another member for them, but unless you convert, do your sacraments more than likely they won't marry you in the future. In other words, because my husband married me, in the eyes of the church it is unholy and he isn't going to heaven. Nice huh? So it's either all or nothing. We decided we're waiting on baptizing our children until they are old enough to understand what it is that they are being commintted into. Good luck!

Yes, you could be a part of this. The church doesn't discriminate against non-Catholics and you won't be excluded. I'm Catholic and there are many non-Catholics who have married Catholics and baptized their children and they have been a part of it.

Roman Catholic? I don't see a problem with this at all. Check with your priest. I think the main requirement is that she be raised in a Christian household that includes regular attendance at Mass. I said this earlier in an answer. Why would you want to give birth to a child then not feed her?
