I am at my wits end, my husband snores incessantly, on his stomach, back, side. Nothing seems to help. Does anyone know of any home remedies or anything that has worked for them? Product recommendations would be great. Ear plugs aren't an option, I have a little one I need to hear wake up during the night.

I feel your pain. My hubby snores, too.
~Try the snore-stop throat spray and the breath right nasal strips.
~Also, make sure you keep the bedroom dusted, and consider getting new pillows (not just because of allergens, but also because he may need a different firmness).
~You may want to consider an air purifier, which could help cut down on allergens.
~Make sure he doesn't drink milk close tp bedtime, the phlegm will make his snoring worse.
~Check into a humidifier, my hubby snores more when the humidity is lower)
~Try to get him to try a nasal spray called Simply Saline. It is canned saline, and once you get the hang of it, it can really help hydrate and clean out the sinuses.
~If he is over-weight it may contribute to the issue.

If none of these steps improve the situation, definitely check with a doctor who may be able to diagnose the cause.

These steps helped our situation, but we may still end up going to the doctor. I wish you good luck.

I shall relate an incident from a country from middle east. A man got married with a very beautiful young lady. She had the habit of snoring. The family of the girl hid this fact from the bridegroom's family. Few days after the marriage the husband filed a divorce suit on the basis of this snoring. The wife suggested to the judge a solution to arrive at a compromise. She suggested that she will sleep during the day when the husband is away at work and that she will not sleep or snore in the night. The judge, the husband, the families and advocates, all agreed to this solution. And then they lived happily thereafter. This story must be true because I read it as a news item in a prestigious newspaper. I forgot which newspaper. I had a paper clipping. That too I lost. That is another story. Another time.

Wow. All of these are great! My dad used to snore really bad, as in it would wake me up...from the other end of the house! He always denied it. He's been living alone for business in a couple different states over the past years and he's lost about 70 pounds because of that. Since then he doesn't snore. Now I'm not saying to send your husband away, lol, but (really not wanting to be rude) if he is on the heavier side maybe try going on a diet and losing some weight? That seemed to help my dad.

An ear nose and throat specialist will be able to help.

If not, this might sound a bit extreme... but I know someone who it has worked for. Contact the military!! I said it was extreme, but, imagine the problem the army have with people snoring!! You can't exactly be on a secret mission in the jungle somewhere when on of your squad has a serious problem with snoring!! you might as well put up spot lights on your position!!

The army have made extensive research into the causes and solutions of snoring and have on going testings that could help you!

Good luck, persevere with getting a solution because I'm sure he's worth it!!

Happy women's day!

My hubby is the same way. He snores so loud I actually jump from my sleep. We've been together for 16 years and I still can't figure out a way to stop the snoring! We tried breathe right nasal strips, a snore guard, stop snoring pills...etc, nothing works. If I shake him really hard and he changes positions sometimes he will stop for a few minutes. I resorted to sleeping on the couch some nights so I can get some sleep.
Has he gone to see a doctor...sometimes its a medical problem that causes the snoring and that can be fixed.
Good luck!

You might try the earplugs at least once, in my experience (I use them at least 3 or 4 times a week) it will help drown out the snoring, but not things I want to hear! I don't have kids, but I have dogs who sleep outside and I don't want them to bark and wake up the neighbors.
I can wear the earplugs and fall asleep, but I have woken up many times when the dogs are barking. I guess it's what my mind is thinking about.
Also I find that at some point during the night I will have taken those ear plugs out, I wake up during the night and they are gone, but by then I am so sleepy I have no problem going back to sleep even with his snoring. So just a suggestion that you may want to try. I think your mind will take care of it, it will hear the baby if he or she crys and you will wake up. It's just the way it works. I mean does your husband wake up when the baby is crying? Or just you? In my house, my husband sleeps through anything, but since I am always listening for the dogs barking I wake up every time. And I am sure that is because my mind is aware of everything, even when I am sleeping. So it's worth a shot!

Also, check into that apnea, my mom had it and she would shake the house at night...She is all better now.

I am sorry but there is no help that you can do on your own you need to take him to his normal doctor and tell him/her what is happening with your husband at night. He can even stop breathing if it gets worse. My mom works in a sleep lab and has wires that are on a persons head and it shows what is happening when a persons snores. Its a thing that can be fixed and will be a great thing for you since you have a little one in the house. This is common and happens to allot of people and the studies on this are showing what the risks are when snoring. See when a person snores they are vibrating the back of there throat and it makes it go numb without you even knowing it (since you are sleeping) this makes it hard to breath right and some people stop breathing but that happens to people who are loud and I mean loud. As well as large people. You don't have to be large to have a sleeping disorder. Call his doctor and get him seen for this if not your going to get unhealthy from lack of sleep and as a mom I know that is not a good thing at all. More so men are baby's we cant be sick at all.

Is he overweight? Right there could be your culprit. My husband, too, snores. We've tried the Breathe Right strips that you put on your nose and the Breathe Right Snore Releif throat rinse. This will set you back about $10. If these two options don't work, I suggest seeing a doctor for sleep apnea which can be very serious. Good Luck!

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!

1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.

2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.

The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.

After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net

Ohhh..and Good Luck!

My wife and I are going threw the same thing. There are different types of snoring. Remedies range from doing simple throat, jaw, tongue and neck exercises to medications to surgical operation. A particular type of snoring called Apnea can also cause other health problems (on the very extreme - death) it severely robs the body of needed oxygen during the night. I suggest consulting a physician.
