After getting a haircut, look after your hair to prevent further damage and splitends.
1. When drying your hair, don't rub with a towel. try not to use hairdryer, it dries your hair out .. let it dry naturally when possible.
2. Whenever you are using heat on your hair, make sure you apply heat protection hair products.
3. Don't apply hair accesories that pull on your hair
4. apply hair mask once a week, use intensive conditioner 2 to 3 times a week (if you wash hair every single day)

Is Your Hair Colored? Permed? Extra Long? Split Ends Occur Because Of Damage From Physical Or Chemical Abuse, If Your Hair Just "Splits" For No Apparent Reason, I Would Say It's Your Diet. You Should Eat Plenty Of Good, WHOLE Protiens( Eggs, Meat, Fish, Soy Etc.) And Take Vitamins. A Good Shampoo And Treatment Conditioner Will Help. Some To Try Are: PANTENE PRO-V RESTORATIVES Breakage Defense Shampoo And Leave-In Detangling Creme, VO5 Split Ends Shampoo And Shower Works! Hot Oil Treatment, On The Professional Side Are: REDKEN Extreme Shampoo, CAT Treatment And Anti-Snap Leave-In Treatment, MATRIX ForteThérapie Shampoo And Cera-Repair Treatment. SORRY, Most Home Remedys Don't Work. Good-Luck!

There is no way to "heal" split ends. If you still have them even after a trim then you're not getting enough trimmed off. The only way to get completely rid of them is to get them all trimmed off (and, sadly, sometimes this means going short).
After that, cut back on using any heat appliances and get a good moisturizing shampoo and a really good deep conditioner (and use it at LEAST once a week).

do u blow dry, curl, or straighten regularly? if u do then that's the reason why u have split ends the constant activity 2 Ur hair wipes out the natural oils in ur Hair that protects it. if u don't then cut ur hair short enough that there r no split ends (sometimes u can miss those which means that u will have continual split ends) and dip the ends regularly in olive oil!

get your hair trimmed. Put conditioner in your hair when it is dry and let it soak in Then shampoo after wards and then condition again. LEt the conditioner sit in your hair for at least 5 min.
a home remedy: let mayo sit in your hair for an hour and then shampoo and condition
or put an egg in your hair once a week. It has protiens in the egg which strengthen your hair

I had the same exact problem! What my hairstylest told me to do was to get a heat protectant spray (like from tresemme or avon) and put it on before you blow dry your hair. Another thing that I got was the conditioner that you leave on for 3 minutes from Pantene. It's the new time renewal stuff. It works really great! I hope this works for you!

You must have your hair deep conditioned every wk. Try Africa's Best Hair Mayonnaise. It's a miracle. Trim your ends every 6 wks and when you roller set your hair put a small amount of setting lotion on ends only. Your ends will looking amazing in the morning.Limit the amount of heat you use on your hair. I haven't put a curling iron in my hair for 5 years and its beautiful. I roller set and wrap my hair.

there are a lot of sprays you can put in damaged hair. Hot oil treatment work really well too. use it once a week and it should really help your hair. if that isn'y what you want to do, then put mayo and an egg in it. i also heard mustard is good too.
