Psalm 139:7-12 says the Holy Spirit is everywhere including in "the depths" (Hebrew "Sheol" - translated elsewhere as "Hell"). Since the Holy Spirit IS God according to the Trinity, then God is everywhere including in Hell and in Satan. Where am I going wrong here?

I'm an Atheist. I'm trying to get the Christians to think about this.

girlpreacher: You are present at your current location in relation to your friend. God is supposed to present everywhere. It's totally different. That means God is inside you and your friend simultaneously.

dewcoons: People take up space. The area inside a person is a location just like any other.

Sheol in the Old Testament was where the dead went, good and bad.

The description of Lazarus and the rich man tell us they could see each other across a gulf. So if there were righteous people there then the Holy Spirit would have been there.

Tying this into God being in Satan is certainly a stretch.
Realize that this is poetic language and you are trying to twist it into something it is not.

God made it all, so why can't His spirit have dominion over it all? His dwelling place is not in Hell nor is it in the heart of Satan. It is in Heaven where there are streets of gold and ivory palaces. Satan knows God, that's the only way God's spirit could be in him. But Satan, Lucifer, chose not to serve God and attempted to rise in authority above God. So God gave him Hell, with which to have dominion over. He has God's blessing to rule the evil in this world and in the next. What is so confusing about that? God made everything so His spirit is in it all since He is the creator. He is the master of death and Hell and has mighty power over all things.

You aren't wrong. According to the Christian Religion, God is in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Lucifer was created by God in the Bible, and therefore is a part of him. He was banished into Hell and took 1/3 of the angels with him to become demons/devils.

It's just an easy way to say that God is in all things, even in evil in order to make the point that salvation can be reached by all.

I am totally fine with that if God's s Spirit is in hell and Satan. God would even forgive Satan if He repented. And no one has to go to hell if they chose heaven.

I leave this matter to God He knows how to do His business.

Of course God is in hell. In fact, the Bible says Jesus holds the keys of Death and Hell in Revelation 1. There is no location where God is not presence. It just that his presence there is of no benefit to those people because they reject it.

Oh, and last time I checked, satan was a "person", not a "location". You can be in every location, but not in every person.

I thought trinity meant 3 not 3 in 1. lmao
I think what you wrote means God has influence in everything hence he is everywhere. Same if a loved one dies physically but lives on in others.

it means that you are trying to delve into a fictional story and trying to determine if parts of it are true.

it's like asking "do you think peter pan really had wings?"

you can babble like a child and say things like "jesus is alive" etc, but it means nothing. it's an unprovable myth, rejected by over 70% of the people on earth.

Look at all the disagreement here among the xians. Look at all of them answering this, all differently, all making claims about where god is and who god is "in" and who god isn't "in" AS IF THEY KNOW IT. They ALL claim to be right and know the answer, and they are all answering differently!

How much more ridiculous can you get?? This is SO SILLY!!

EVERYTHING is a part of God, or deity. Many Christians have a view of God sitting up in Heaven watching everything. This is putting limits on their deity. He(/She) is Spirit...Spirit is IN EVERYTHING.

Why would that exclude Hell/Satan? Both are still parts of CREATION. Nowhere in the bible does it state otherwise.

Omnipresence means that God is present everywhere, but not that He is everything. I am present with my friend Casey right now. It does not mean I AM my friend Casey or IN my friend Casey (not meant to be dirty). I think you're confusing omnipresence with pantheism.
You ask some very good and hard (if not uneducated) questions. You need to be a little more familiar with the concepts you're using before you use them to fight.
