One of the Artists at the shop INSISTS on playing some sort of emo crap at the shop full blast, and I find myself strangely depressed, and wanting to carve my skin with a sharp object. Can emo oil help cure this, or am I a lost cause??

Serious answers only, Please and thank you.

Well, if is not the Dropkick Murphy's, Flogging Molly, Social Distortion, or Johnny Cash, it ain't music in my humble opinion. Emo oil is the root of healing tattoos, and gumming up any device playing crappy music. So I say give it a shot. Make sure to sterilize your sharp objects with plenty of tequila first.

OH MY GOD BrooKe.....I'm so sorry but You may be turning into an Emo. Have you started itching...getting raised bumps....or possibly started sprouting pin feathers? Have you been having trouble with your nose lately? Maybe it started out sore but NOW it has no feeling and is getting hard to the touch? Do you find yourself craving grape nuts or other dry cereals?........It may not be too late for you. First turn on your stereo and put on Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Metallica and Slipknot.......and set them up to play randomly (at full volume)..... Second when you get the urge to carve your skin DON'T....instead carve the skin of those around you (preferably the skin of the cops who will show up to tell you to turn down the music).....And for gods sake stay away from the emo oil (I'm afraid it might trigger a full transformation)...If worse come to worse BrooKe and you be come an Emo......I have a little property with a barn.....and I am willing to take you on as the FIRST emo at my emo ranch. ....

good luck

I don't particularly care for the music that gets played at my shop either. What I have learned is you pretty much have to suck it up and tune it out. I would rather have my artist relaxed and listening to the type of music he wants to for 4 hours and doing a good job, rather than me listening to what I want and coming out with a bad tattoo. Just remember the music is only for the time that your in there but a tattoo is going to be there forever, regardless, you've got my sympathy.

OK I'm sorry but I think you may be a lost cause, what you can do is make sure you cut yourself in pretty designs like whatever you want your next tattoo to be just cut yourself like that, the scars will turn out beautiful and it will save you so much money on tattoos, you'll be rich.

So some music made you so depressed that you want to start cutting on yourself? I have the feeling that the issue has more to do with you than the music. A can listen to music that many people would find depressing, but I've never been tempted to cause myself physical harm over it.

You need to find yourself someone to talk to and perhaps get into counciling. The music might have elevated a mood, but the mood was there in the first place. Find yourself some help.
