Hi,

I have uploaded pictures and audio/video tapes from my digital camera some days ago.

Nobody has been touching the computer ever since and today when I wanted to watch the videos I have made with the digital camera I realised they are all gone, only pictures are left there!!!!!!!!

I have checked the recycle bin and some other folders but I can not find them. Any ideas where could they be???

p.s. I have already tried the usual search and i do not open them in the picture format so please bring on some new ideas, i really need this.

Please, HELP!!!

If you know where the folder is, I highly suggest (assuming you're using Windows), clicking on the Views button (looks like a square with little squares in it), and clicking on "details" . Under "TYPE" you should see "Movie File", "Picture", etc.

Sometimes in thumbnail mode, movies show up as "pictures", and you can't differentiate between them without looking at the details.

Do A search on your Drive, and used advanced attributes in search; hopefully you will know what the file endings are, like *.jpg in the search for file. If not, thats fine, just search for files modified in a certain time frame, like the last day or 2 days

Hi. Did you try searching for " *.avi "? Most cameras use this format and it will point to the folder for. Good luck!
