Isn't that sort of like saying you chose to be attracted to that man or female you see walking down the street.

You just are.

Or I chose to find this food or drink to taste good?

It just is.

It's not really a light switch where you can turn it on and off on command.

I'm a 21-year-old Black Man. (no, really). If I find myself sexually attracted to a 4-year-old white girl, would you not consider that wrong? EXACTLY. You may not be able to help what you feel on the inside, but there is a difference between your feelings and your actions. You can always choose not to do something.
If your stomach starts bubbling, you can choose to find a suitable location (such as a lavatory) to properly relieve yourself or you can hold it until you either damage your system or mess yourself.
Hiding behind your feelings is a cop-out. God would not condemn homosexuality if people were actually genetically designed to be gay, that's like condemning blue eyes and blonde hair (Hitler come holl@me . . .)

I will, however, say that just because homosexuality is condemned in the Bible does not make gay-bashing right. Only God has the right to judge.

It's entirely how a person views things, and if there is an emotion attached to it.
If you look deep enough, it's most likely that they did not get some sort of attachment from or to the parent of the same sex that they are. And that's really early in life, early development. No wonder they think they were born that way.

It is a choice.

Yes, it is! You can just as easily determine good and bad taste in food by trying it, smelling it, and etc. but with something that's an ABOMINATION to God, you can't for the Bible teaches us to "Abstain from the VERY APPEARANCE of evil". Besides, God would be the one to "turn off the light switch" if you sincerely felt in your heart and knew in your soul that it was the right thing to do!

No one chooses to be born:

gay
male or female
of any particular color
in any particular country
into any particular religion
with congenital birth defects
with blue eyes or brown
and so forth. These are all handed to us at birth~ the luck of the draw, or influenced by our parents. You made a good point.

For those who insist that being Gay is a choice... then think about it... can YOU choose to be in Love with a member of your same gender? Can you choose to have sex with a member of the same gender?

I am not Gay, but I have a cousin sister who is... and I understand the anguish she is going thru

I don't like how society treat people who are gay. I am not personally like this but I have some good friends who are and they get criticized pretty badly. I think everyone just needs to get the f*** over themselves and accept people for who they are.

I agree with you. Some people don't understand, or they choose not to understand. Why would someone "choose" a lifestyle that is made very difficult to live because of societies narrow mindedness and preconceived ideas?

If you search this forum, spelling "chosing" as "choosing" with your question you will find numerous posts suggesting an answer.

You're right, of course why would someone choose to be gay, that'd be like choosing to be made fun of. I support gay people, and I realize it's not a choice.

To Dave S, you are not bron a bigot. It has been proven that intolerance is learned. Sexual orientation is not. Homosexuality is a part of nature. Grow up.
