most human food is bad for dogs avoid fatty food and candy like chocolate which could lead to death and no processed foods, you can feed your dog steak, chicken(boneless) pork, deer, carrots and other veggies, pasta without the sauce because tomatoes have to much acid that dogs cant tolerate some dogs even like fruit. all this food is safe i fed my German shepherd these foods but not everyday mostly as treats here and there he stuck mainly to dog food. the only food that i gave him everyday was one large carrot that he loved to death.

Avacodos, onions, grapes, raisins, tomatoes, macadamia nuts, walnuts, apple seeds, cherry pits, peach pits, pear pips, plums pits, apricot pits, too much salt can cause kidney problems, ham, bacon, too much raw or cooked liver can cause vitamin A toxicity, wild mushrooms, raw egg whites, cooked bones...
Why do people come on here claiming to be vets or vet techs but give a completely bs answer?
Chocolate can kill your dog. The darker the chocolate, the worse it is. An ounce of chocolate can poison a 30lb dog. Symptoms dont usually show up for several hours but if your dog eats chocolate take him to a vet (or induce vomiting if you know how to correctly) immediately.
Raw beef is very good for your dog. Just be sure if you do add this to his diet regularly to also worm him regularly.

Just a quick note... Do not expect your vet to tell you what is best for your dog to eat. They are experts in animal medicine, not nutrition. They will most likely point you in the direction of a food they carry, which is usually a crappy food.

Chocolate, grapes, raisins, onions and garlic. All can cause problems. Also, any cooked bones are not a good idea. Further, feeding a dog scraps as a major portion of their diet is not a good idea as they need high protein, low carb diet. The best 'human' food to feed them is raw food that you would buy yourself. Grapes, raisins, and chocolate are terrible for dogs. The only human food I will ever feed my dog is carrots, cheese, and a little bit of meat here or there (being a vegetarian my dogs don't get too much)

No chocolate or grapes. These are toxic to dogs. If doggie's a purebred, be careful with his diet. Their digestive systems can be a little 'picky', and they tend to get diarrhea after certain dietary indescretions (like too many potato chips).

Also, though not food, Never give your dog acetimenophin, only asprin. That's also poisionous to dogs.

If you have questions on your dog's diet, I would speak to your vet about it. Do not feed "people food" to your dog. No human food is good balanced nutrition for your Husky. For full nutritional benefits, put your husky on a premium large breed dog food, based on the age of your dog. Proper amounts of dry premium pet food and unlimited access to fresh clean water is what your dog should have for proper health.

I know that this is going to sound arrogant, but when it comes to a K9's diet, most people are ignorant.

The answer to your question is "NOTHING!"

Believe it or not, there is no other mammal who's dietary requirements more closely resemble us humans than a K9. Most people don't know this and believe stupid things like feeding chocolate to a dog is bad for them. It is bad for them for the same reason that it is bad of us humans, but it is NOT poisonous! (it is only poisonous when taken in large quantities...for that matter it is just as poisonous to humans as it is to dogs....see below for more).

You can feed your dog anything that you eat. But be prepared, if you feed him pizza, hamburgers and other bad foods it will probably have bad gas and get sick more often
