My boyfriend of over a year still talks to his ex (they were together for about 2 years)... they broke up because she cheated on him with his friend. To me, this would mean complete cutoff of the relationship. I have been cheated on and have no desire to speak to my ex. Is he more forgiving than I am? I trust him completely but I just think it is weird that he would want to remain in contact with her. What do you think?

My ex hubby cheated on me and thus the divorce. He and I still chat every now and then on IM (he lives in CT and I'm now in TN). It took us quite a while to become friends again (we got divorced in 1993) but we still are and probably always will be now. We will NEVER get back together again, but we are still friends. So, your bf is not the only one that has a relationship like that and I don't think you should be worried.

Not going to lie, it is a little strange. I guess if they had a really strong relationship (hard to say if she cheated on him), it's possible that they still want to stay in each other's lifes ( as friends). But for the most part, no, it's not normal. Speaking as a guy, the only ex's guys stay in touch with are ex's that they are really really good friends with before they start dating them, and/or girls they want to get back together with. You should just talk to him about it. That's the easiest way to find out.

yes hes more forgiving he sounds like a nice guy and if u lik him and trust him then dont worry about it my best friend is my ex boyfriend and he has a gf now and she just had to get use to it.

i'm still friends with my ex. we were together 19 months and we only broke up about 2 months ago. and i cheated on him with one of his mates aswell, but that's not why we split. anyhows we're still mates and it's not wierd.
