The British comedy "Red Dwarf" had a great quote about it.

"The great pyramids were not built with big machines. They were built with big whips."

Actually, there is some archeology that suggests that not all of the labor done on the pyramids was done by slaves. There is some evidence to suggest that Egypt made use of its farmers who during certain times of the year had little to do. There is also evidence to suggest that there was a lot of skilled laborers. These people were probably not slaves. Slaves were still part of the equation but there were a lot of non-slaves working on the pyramids as well.

As for aliens, there is no evidence to suggest that aliens have ever visited the planet. There is no evidence that points to aliens helping with the pyramids.

Of course they werent...

But I have difficulty beleiving that they were constructed by the Egyptians of 4500 years ago... (yes, they were already 2500 years old when Jesus was walking around!)

The Sphinx and Great Pyramids show great amounts of what are termed "horizontal fissues" - water erosion marks left by years and years of rain water falling and washing on the mounuments. However, this area is an arid desert, and has been for 4000 years. Approximately 10K years ago, this area was a lush rainforest. So, it would seem that the Sphinx was at least constructed back at that time, by a yet unknown/undiscovered civilization.... There is also what is called "archeo-astronomical" evidence that the pyramids are a map of the stars of the constellation of Orion, and that the "map" corresponds to a similarly ancient date...

No the were built by hard-working craftsmen of Egypt. They weren't built by slaves, slaves weren't good enough to build the pyramid. The men of Egypt served terms like in the military and built them.

LOL...that's almost as lazy as claiming that the universe was created by God in 6 days.

"We aren't sure how they pulled this off"...therefore it must've been aliens.

Actually, though, we have a fairly decent idea of how the pyramids were constructed using technologies available - to mankind - at the time. They're monumentally impressive feats of human ingenuity - isn't that enough?

They were built by ancient Egyptians (The Pharoes), as tombs for the great kings that they had at the time.

NO, but I often wonder about "was magic used"? They were built in the days of Moses and the bible plainly states that magic was available to the Pharaoh's followers. Remember when Moses threw down his staff, it turned into a snake. The bible then goes on to say that Pharaoh's people threw down their staff, too, and it , also, turned into a snake but it was NOT by the power of God. In this story, the word of God plainly states that MAGIC can be real by certain people but it is evil and a sin.
