Ok, I'm 16 years old, and pubic hairs are gross. I need advice of removing said hairs. I try shaving every now-and-again, but it always ends up irritated and unpleasent. I'd wax, but with no job, no money, that means no waxing kits. I'd talk to my mother, but we don't really get on. So, any advice would be greatly appreciated, thankyou!

Everyone has different skin types. I would suggest Nair but like I just said some react differently. Another is to use Veet which is more softer on the skin. Also just shaving isnt bad. Get a fresh razor and new blade just sit in the warm bath or let the hot water hit you in that area and just soak so your follicles will open up and making shaving smoother and easier. Then take some shaving cream and cover the desired area. Use the razor and go in the direction of the hair. Go slow. Not fast cause this will might cause irritation. And rinse with warm water. Besides waxing this is your only option. Or you can just pluck each individual hair out. Yow-ee.

OK Im about to solve your problem! First of all everyone that told you to just "let it grow" needs to mind their own business. OK so Ive tried everything, from shaving to waxing to nair and all left my skin irritated. Shaving was awful and waxing hurts SO bad and its very expensive. Plus the "at home" kits from walmart do nothing. Nair works OKAY. however it has the most horrible smell ever. And no matter how many times you wash or with whatever kind of soap that smell doesn't go away for at least 24 hours. What you need to do is save 15-30 dollars, go to walmart, and buy an electric shaver. (ones that boys use for their face and hair and stuff) It works so amazing, NO BUMPS, and no irritation. Plus after you buy the shaver, you don't ever have to buy anything else to go with it. You don't use shaving cream or anything with it! I just discovered this about two weeks ago and I'm obsessed with it. Hope this helps!!

Make sure you soap up a lot, using shower gel, not bar soap. It'll help cut down on razor burn. Also use a good, sharp razor, which cuts down on friction against your skin. When you do shave, be gentle and don't go over the same area more than once. Even shave downwards, which won't completely remove the hairs, but will trim it down to about the shortest you can get it, and it won't get irritated. If you use lotion afterwards, use some that is unscented has no dyes, because those things will surely cause irritation. Once you do have the money for it, use this stuff-

You end up irritated and unpleasant because you use a razor. That's what most women use. Most women use one of those Venus razors. Razors are the worst for shaving the bikini area. They cause more ingrown hairs and cuts than anything else. You ought to get one of those Remington electric shavers for women if you don't have a lot of money. You can't cut yourself with one of those. The blades are expensive, but a new set of blades can last entire year or longer. You should always use plenty of lotion after you shave. Lotion prevents your skin from becoming so irritated.

I only shave my pubic hair once a week or so, it keeps it short, and cuts down on irritation of doing it every day. That day I tend to soak in the bath for a while to soften the hairs, and I shave using a new blade (I change it once a week) and conditioner. And yes, putting deoderant on after works wonders. You have to find a razor thats works well with your body and skin. I find Venus works really well.

Ever notice that you don't get shaving bumps under your arms?

Put deoderant on your bikini line where you shave.

You can also shave that area using Baby oil. It dulls the blade quickly so you can only use it once or twice, but it helps a lot with any irritation.

Waxing causes ingrown hairs, very painful and unsightly.

Nair is no better than shaving and can cause more irritation.

Use the electric shaver with corn starch powder. There is also a product called Tend Skin. You use it after shaving and it makes the bumps go away. If you go on Beavershaver.com (I'm not kidding, that's the name), they have all the great products you need for it. That's where I got everything before I started shaving. And don't worry about the other people's opinions on NOT doing it. If it's what you want to do, you do it.

whatever you do DO NOT USE NAIR. I did once and well lets just say not a great ideal. Try using a mans razor (gillette fusion) make suer its fusion then use hair coniditioner (v05) best. When you put it on there let it sit for a while then after bout 1 1/2 mins shave downward NEVER UPWARD that should do the trick. GOOD LUCK

ok you can't afford waxing then take the time and use tweezers to pluck them out and it will last alot longer then shaving, take tylenol an hour before you pluck and when you are finished put some body lotion on. Maybe you could ask mom for money to buy something else and instead get yourself a waxing kit they're only about $7

i shave... yeah it can get a little itchy and annoying... but its pretty much the best thing with little money... and to cut down on the irritation and to help the smoothness after you shave let the hair on the main area grow a quarter inch... just so its not the short stubble and not really long... or you could just trim...
