I would avoid Denon. I bought one after it was raved about in "What Hi-Fi".
After 20 months the mini-disk failed - I had only recorded about 50 mini-disks. It had a 2 year warranty, so was repaired FOC, but the bill showed that it would have cost £370.00 - the unit only cost £250.00.
Then the multi-cd player broke, out of warranty. The repair was astronomical - so I did not bother, I have seen at least 30 on ebay with the same fault, but Denon refuse to admit it is a production/design fault.

search on ebay for Sony ones....
