Sometimes, I feel like I want a girlfriend. But I don't talk to a whole lot of girls. And the girls I do talk to either already have boyfriends or are lesbians. I asked a friend to look for a girlfriend for me at the end of last semester, but he couldn't do it. Either the girls he knew had boyfriends, or they were attracted to him. The reason I don't talk to girls is because I feel like I'm going to make a complete idiot of myself, plus I don't know their interests, so if I start up a conversation about my interests, I'd probably be beyond red in the face due to embarrasment because they don't have the slightest idea what the heck I'm talking about. So, what do I do?

Plus, I don't want to be real close to asking a girl if she wants to be my girlfriend or asking her out, and then find out she's got a boyfriend or is a lesbian. And the group home and/or foster family would flip if I tried Internet dating.

Just so you know, sex is OUT OF THE QUESTION. I've told myself to save that for when I get married.

Well, it sounds like your friends arent ay help. I guess wait for the girl to ask you out. You may be waiting a while though. You have to not be shy and just spark up casual conversation. At the gas station or maybe a coffee shop. How bout a movie rental place. Ask a chick in there if they've seen the movie. You gotta try. What do you have to loose? You may surprise yourself and not be an idiot. Dont be so hard on yourself.

Stop wasting your time being self conscience and just be yourself. Most girls want to be friends first anyway, so that should take some weight off of your shoulders. Also, don't have your friends look for a girl for you, do it yourself. The girls that your friend finds for you will think you are a pussy because you can't ask them out yourself. Just put yourself out there and stop worrying. No matter how cliche it may sound, the right person will come along.

If you are in College, they is so many ways to find a girlfriend. Attend study groups, go to school functions. Hang out at the local clubs and pubs with friends.

Confidence is probably the most universal personality trait that all women are attracted to. And they can almost smell self-consciousness and fear. Also, money helps. If you have money, flaunt it a little with your clothes and possessions and most girls will be into you more.

Your lack of confidence is because you,ve not had sex. Look for a payable girl and trash her real hard. After that all girls will look easy for you to talk to.You will have confidence. Goodluck.

why don't u try internet dating? i know it sounds lame, but that way you get to know someone before you actually meet, and talking to someone over the internet is a lot less intimidating than in person. that way you can suss them out first and see what they like and stuff....
