when i turn on the switch nothing happens. does anybody know what could cause it and what i can do to fix it? i think it is single phase or something and was left outside with a big plastic sheet over it. i havent used it for about 4 months now, but it was working fine before. i have checked the fuse and connections and they all seem fine

1- See if you are getting power to the motor.
YES- Check for an overload on the motor.
NO Check switch.

If it is the motor, it maybe just starting capacitor.
Does the motor make any noise when you turn it on?

Over the course of a job the amount of electricity used is negligible. Mixers only need to run for about ten minutes at a time for each mix.

Get a volt meter.
Power getting to motor, switch, outlet.

If yes, check motor Cap

Disconnect motor from the mixing drum, turn the mixing drum to see if it is seized.

Turn on switch on motor to see it it runs on it's own

this will tell you where the problem is.

if you take the cover plate off with the switches , you should find they control a conection unit (2inchx2inchx1inch) get another one of those and reconect as you deconected !!! if you have trouble geting one try a hire firm , they should beable to sell you one , they are replacing them all the time

Try throwing it against a wall. If that does nothing try driving over it with your car...Still nothing?

Or you could do what I do- just go buy a new one already!!
