I REALLY want to be succesful at this weight loss goal but I am nervous about how bad my skin will sag afterwards, I am only 25 I dont know if that reduces the risk, but have any of you lost a considerable amount? What does your body look like afterwards?

Age and sun exposure have a lot to do with how much your skin will shrink back, also the amount of time you take to lose the weight affects it. I'm sure you know rapid weightloss will increase the saggy skin.

I lost 60 pounds when I was 25, and my skin shrank back BUT I did notice I had some sagging right over my knees. That's where most of my weight had been. Freaked me out. Did a LOT of thigh exercises to build my thighs back up to fill out the skin because it's never going to shrink back 100%. You're gonna have some excess skin losing 100 pounds, but it shouldn't be the acres of skin hanging off of you like you see on the talk shows... those people have usually lost 150+ and done it really fast from gastric bypass.

I do WeightWatchers and have lost about 60 in less than a year. No sign of sagging skin at all. WeightWatchers doesn't let you lose weight too fast anyway. It is more focused on healthy steady wieghtloss. But, you could totally do the 100 in a year if you stick with the plan. It is a safe program and way better than any of the others... I had tried them all.

Remember... the faster you lose weight, the faster it comes back! Take it slow and focus on doing it the safe and healthy way.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

if you lose the weight slowly you should be able to tighten up. people that get really saggy are often those that have surgery or lose the weight super fast. if you do cardio along with weight training that will definetely help. you may still end up with some sagging skin and there isn't always a whole lot you can do about it. my cousin lost over 100 lbs and she looked great. the only areas she has sagging skin was her upper arms. she may have to have surgery if she really wants it removed. otherwise, she looks great.

You will probably have some sagging skin, but as long as you lose slow and keep yourself hydrated, you shouldn't have a problem. Also, my doctor told me that once you reach your goal weight, give it about a year for the rest of your skin to catch up.

Good luck on weight watchers!! It's the best program out there!

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

Lose the weight slowly so that you body has a chance to cope with the change. And work out to build some muscle tone not just cardio.

I lost 100 pounds when I was in my 40s and my skin didn't sag. you're young enough that yours should still be elastic and not sag. it's mostly in people that have lost more than that when their skin sags.

pick up a 5 or 10 pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be

If you are less than 35, then your skin will not sag. It should retain it elasticity so you will not have to worry about that. If you are still concerned about it though, take vitamin E pills and use plenty of moisturizer on your skin.
