Did you know that the ultimate insult is to ignore someone? Not only do they feel rejected, but feel stupid ranting and raving without a response from you. Give them a "what's wrong with you look ?" and walk away. Believe me the only one who will feel embarrassed will be the other person, he will feel out of control and if others are around, they will think he is too. Try it, it works.

One thing about human nature is people HATE being ignored. I am not sure if you have any siblings, but you will probably understand that. The person who keeps on coming to you probably has the type of personality that always needs a reaction, so next time they come up too you to start, like the other person said, just ignore them. Walk away. If they keep on following you then YOU can get them fired. Report them for harrasment and your employer will have to take appropriate measures, no matter where you work. Many employers worry about being sued for not following up with an employee's complaint.

In short: hit him where it hurts. Ignore him, then file a harrassment complaint.

Rather then then getting upset about anything, simply ask why they did something a certain way, or exsplaine that it could of been done differntly. If that didn't work mention it to the sup that its an issue.

You have to stand up for yourself, or people well walk all over you, but at the same time you dont need to be the "bad guy". swearing at them, or name calling ect. well only make the problem even worse, right?

But the best way would be to make them look stupid lol...about what ever it was about...and that would get your hurt feeling your looking for.

I don't think you need to bite back. You are seen as the "bigger man" for not engaging in such immature behavior. However, if you cannot let it go, just say something simple yet effective like "oh yah, well consider the source".
It seems meek, but it is saying the viewpoint is obviously coming from a weak source and therefore bears no merit. Plus, if they aren't bright enough to know the meaning you have still "one-upped" them.

getting a video on assertiveness training or a book on that topic will help. It will teach you how to deflect that crap. You can practice the skills with a friend or relative, so when it comes up, it will be easier for you. (role playing). Good luck!! You don't want to descend to their level and deliberately hurt them back, it's immature, even if you really WANT to do it (and we all do).

As you get older you will find ways and people will get your meaning. Cursing people out at all may seem to help but may be best under your breath or venting to someone else you can trust later on.
