switch shampoos. I've found that Herbal Essences is nice. The one with rose hip (the pink colored shampoo and conditioner) smells devine, the scent lingers just a bit and my hair is nice and calm. I tend to have frizz, too and this is a really nice brand to try.
Also, try Sunsilk Anti-Poof (the blue one). I use the 24-7 cream on damp hair then blow dry with a big paddle brush. it's great.

Use a conditioner and anti tangle creme. After all of that and towel drying, I apply a small amount of frizz control then blow dry.

use a shampoo that is more suited to the type of hair you have...not necessarily the kind that your mom (or sister) uses

hey girl... i hear ya... i would suggest you find a beauty mart... there is a tall bottle of BIOSILK... you want the clear bottle... this stuff is GREAT... you can also use it on your skin... it makes your skin smooth... it also adds a slight shin or glow to your skin... i love it... it helps keep moisture in your skin... o and a little bit goes a long way... i still have my bottle from almost 2 years ago... and its not half empty yet...
