Honestly, how gullible can you be?
Lady Hope, who claimed this, hadn't seen Darwin in over 2 years before he died.
His daughter on the other hand, who WAS at his side when he died, stated that this was a lie. Not only did he NOT "recant" on his deatbed but he died knowing that the science of evolution was never going to stop. And he was even more convinced of it's veracity.
And we've come a LONG way since then. And he has been proven right on most of his theories.
So much for pious fraud huh?

Bettie,
thanks babe. I'd add myself to your 360 but this account will probably be deleted soon too.
I just can't seem to avoid it! Telling the truth really riles up the christians. ;-)

Kristie,
no I wasn't. But did you READ my post? His daughter was and Lady Hope wasn't.
Who do you think a court would describe as a "reliable witness" in this case? Hmmm?

Too bad for him if he didn't recant. For all of the people who have adopted his religion instead of the religion of the Bible, he will probably receive a double portion of fire and brimstone heaped upon his head. Of all the things that Darwin had wrong, one of the most amusing is the fact that he thought the human ear was evolutionary waste. He knew a man who had his ear bitten off in a bar room brawl and could still hear, so Darwin decided there was no reason for the ear. Brilliant, wasn't he?

Never bought into myself as it wasn't documented.

And I correct any fellow christians who state it as fact.

Most of us are just doing what most people do - we're repeating what we hear - without thinking.

Happens across all faiths or lack of faith systems.

Which leads to Darwin's theories - most of them have been shown to be incorrect - without any involvement from creationists.

There are people on both sides of the proverbial fence that will cling to whatever whisps of fractions of truth that will further and advance their own thoughts and ideals. Sad, but true.
