Good question. They will firmly attest that Jehovah is the First and the Last (Alpha and the Omega). However, Revelation 1:18 states the First and the Last "became dead". When did Jehovah die? He didn't, but Jesus did, firmly solidifying that Jesus was God in the flesh...

The First & the Last, is God Jehovah.
Jesus is his son.
When the first & Last is mentioned it means that Jehovah is the beginning and will be the end.

In Verse 1 it clearly makes the point that it is a Revelation of Jesus Christ --- "which God gave unto him". There is a distinction between Jesus and God, why would Jesus need God to give him a revelation, if he was God?

The context is even more obvious in the Greek. --- "[which] [gave] [to him] [the] [God]"

The key in the Greek is that little word --- THE, making God specific to who gave Jesus the revelation, not Jesus himself. The point is also in verse 9 --- "for the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ". In the Greek, again, "[word] [of the] [God] [and] [the] [witness] [of Jesus]"

The term THE separates God from Jesus, they are 2 distinct individuals. In verse 8, the KJV drops the term "[the] [God]", but it is in the Greek as you will see if you can find an Interlinear Bible.

That term --- "[the God]" is never referenced to Jesus, ever. So although the English context gives the impression that it is Jesus speaking in verse 8, it is God, THE God (Jehovah).

JC Redding, you seem quite infactuated with Jehovah's Witnesses so why not take on their offer to a free home Bible study and they arrange your personal studies when it suits you best.
Please go to the link in sources where you can get details from the official Jehovah's Witnesses site.

With your personal home study you can ask all your questions galore and have them answered. It costs nothing and if you are truely interested then I am sure you will have no objection

Thank you.

Mr Redding you want a direct answer yet ask multiple questions. Then you would take an opportunity to a face to face meeting with Jehovah's Witnesses if you have such convictions about knowing them?
This is not avoiding a question it is not getting into a fighting arguement which is not the way of Jehovah's Witnesses. Jesus called Bible truths "pearls" and to becareful where we cast them so not to get trampled on (Matthew 7:6).
Take up the offer of a free Bible study if you are truely sincere, like I do myself. You can ask in earnest all the questions you desire that are honest hearted.
If you want an arguement that sorry I will not support you on that.

That is the answer to your question. Show your trueness in accepting a Bible study. I will look forward to how you get on.

that is talking about Jehovah God. he is the first and the last. before him there was none and after him there will not be any. Jehovah is not another name for Jesus Christ. Jehovah is the Father and Jesus is the son. Jehovah cannot die.

The one good thing about all your questions, is that you get to use the name of the true God Jehovah over and over. Maybe after many, many times it will become a habit and you will come to appreciate how important it really is.
