If it is still fresh, spray it with hairspray and then let it dry. Then use a strong carpet cleaner to clean it.
If you have the Clorox gel pen, very carefully put it on the fibers that have the hair color on it, leave it sit for a minute, then grab the fiber in a paper towel and pull up, so as not to get any on the surrounding fibers. Repeat that as needed.
Wetting and then rubbing the color will make the spot bigger, so I hope you haven't done that!

Elbow grease... Im not being cheeky! My boyfriend has a carpet shop and they retail a spray called elbow grease it works on most spills and stuff, You can get it from any good carpet shop, and I think B&Q sells it too and if its a stainfree carpet you should be fine, what kind of carpet is it?? If its a Stainfree Twist you can bleach it and use other spirits to get rid of stains..
Hope this helped!
Good luck x x

TIPS FOR REMOVING DYES: Always sponge such stains promptly with cool water. This simple treatment will remove many of them. Or soak them with cool water for 30 minutes or more. Some may need to be soaked overnight. After sponging or soaking, work undiluted liquid detergent into the stain and rinse. If the stain remains, you will have to use a bleach. Old stains and stains that have been set by heat are in the "difficult-if-not-impossible" category.
On nonwashable materials, sponge the stain with cool water or put a sponge over it and squirt cool water through the cloth with a small syringe or medicine dropper. If this does not remove the stain, work liquid detergent into it and rinse. A final sponging with alcohol helps to remove the detergent, and the fabric dries faster. Dilute the alcohol with two parts of water; test colors to see if it is safe for dyes. If the detergent treatment does not remove the stain, you will have to try bleach.
For fresher stains, a long soak with detergent suds often does the trick. If a bleach is needed, use a chlorine bleach if the material will stand it, or a color remover.

you could try hairspray if it is still wet, but I doubt that it is now! What colour is it? You can get a carpet spray cleaner that you just spray it foams up and takes most stains out.
Best of luck
