My life is high stress right now but it has calmed down a little recently, but I'm finding I'm having these really really really realistic and vivid dreams, often right before I wake up or if I hit the snooze and go back to sleep. These dreams are always high high stress, and I feel like it's affecting my sleep quality. I wake up with my heart racing or with the muscles clenched, often I wake up with my hands and feet asleep. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

Often nightmares are caused by stress, traumatic experiences, emotional difficulties, drugs or medication, or illness. However, some people have frequent nightmares that seem unrelated to their waking lives. Recent studies suggest that these people tend to be more open, sensitive, trusting, and emotional than average.

I get vivid dreams all the time and like you I just don't stop during the day. My poor boyfriend ends up black & blue in the morning because of my dreams. I know they wont stop as I'm very imagenative. Most of the time my dreams are adventurous I don't get nightmares.

Yes, just in the last few days: full moon (even an eclipse!). Let's see if it goes away when the moonlight does!
