Living in Newfoundland Canada, but from another province?

Question

I currently live in Alberta, Canada. I was born and raised here. My boyfriend is originally from Newfoundland and is also currently living in Alberta. He wants to move back to Newfoundland and for me to move with him. I would like to know how easy it would be for me to adjust to the culture and if Newfoundland is a place where I would be happy living as compared to Alberta? I don't want to have a long distance realtionship, and I don't want to lose my boyfriend. Just a little nervous and scared about moving somewhere completely different that what I am and have always been used to.
Any advice in this matter would be really appreciated. Especially the matter about living in Newfoundland, anybody that currently lives there and that can give me some insight would be great! Thanks!

I live in Newfoundland
we are friendly and the scenery is great
might be hard to find a job unless your planning on going to St.John's
winters are cold but if you live in Alberta your probably use to that
summers are around 20-25 degrees C
lots of mosquito's
fresh air

you won't have any trouble meeting friends

Every city in Newfoundland is a small town; so if your from a big city this will be your biggest challenge. But the people are just great, They are warm and very friendly and somewhat conservative, they will accept you with no problems.

I knew a young woman from BC who lived on The Rock for a couple of years. She loved it.
