What is your favourite lighting option?

What kind of lighting do you like? Do you like the posh or cosy lighting style?

If you want style, the posh stuff adds character to a room. You need to decide what exactly you want the lighting to do. In a kitchen, I prefer can lights over work areas. In a living room, I go with lamps in key areas and overhead lighting on a dimmer switch for mood lighting. Lighting does not need to be expensive to set the mood in a room.
