hy Glittergirls daughter :)
well i am a mother of a 10 year old ..the only advice I can give you as a mother...if they don't want to LISTEN to you ...write it down ,put the letter where you know they will see it kitchen or bedroom on the bed and let them read it while you're in school ..so they won't have a chance to come and disagree with you again ;) it gives them time to THINK ...sometimes parents won't put themselvs back to when they were 10 :)
I hope that helps it sure does when my 10 year old writes to me ...We aren't perfect, but we sure try when it comes to our children 'cause we only want the best for them

Wait for an opening in the conversation, then politely ask if you could please have a turn to speak. Know what you want to say before asking for a turn to talk, and how to interject your opinion in a calm, respectful manner. Unless of course, the disagreement has nothing at all to do with you, then you need to carefully weigh whether or not your comments could get you in trouble :) I have a 10 year old at home, too. Good luck!

You are 10 so it doesn't matter what you have to say. All 10 year old kids think they have a point and 99.99% of them are wrong. That's why the law says you must be 18 or 21 to be taken as an adult. Let your parents solve their own disagreements.

Listen to what your parents have to say. Then when they are done talking let them know you heard what they said and understand but that you also have a point you would like to make. Don't be rude because you will just get into trouble--just be polite and I'm sure you will be heard.

If your parents don't let you debate your side of things then I would suggest writing them a letter and drop it in the nearest mailbox. When it comes back to them with their regular assortment of bills and junk-mail it will be sure to catch their attention. Make sure that you word everything correctly and try to articulate your feelings as much as possible. If you need help ask an older friend or adult to help you write the letter.
Good luck :)

Listen to what they have to say. Then when they are all done, ask if you can talk. If not, or they keep interupting you or talking over you, just write a polite letter later. Be sure to back up all your opinions with facts and instances. Do not be rude or disrespectful.

Don't try to interrupt while they are in disagreement, casually stand there and hold up your hand. Out of curiosity they will ask what and there comes your chance. If your response is done well enough, next time they may ask you without the had raising.

Capitulate (look it up)
You are now in training for your role as an adult
and what you will be expected to do when the
government is in the role that your parents are
playing in your life at present !!!
Capitulate (your grown-up word of the day)

Stop talking and just nod along with what they are saying. They will shut up eventually and you can get a word in. Also acting like you're listening makes them think better of you

wait until things calm down and then voice your opinion. That's what I had to do growing up. Good luck.
