Actually, you don't need a wash-out period before starting another SSRI. I hope you have more success with Prozac and I'm sure you will. I myself think Celexa is the worst SSRI out there for that very reason. I personally think it has one of the worst side effect profiles of all the SSRI's, although many folks do well on it. Lexapro is an isomer of Celexa and was developed because so many folks can't tolerate Celexa. If you still experience nausea with Prozac and it is bad enough that you can't tolerate it (usually milder nausea without vomitting will disappear within a few weeks) I'd suggest you talk with your doc about switching to an NRI like Wellbutrin.

thats really odd . I take Celexa and had no side effects at all..hmmmm.. The symptoms you are having sound more like a panic attack than from the meds .. Throat tightening and vomitting are attributed to panic attacks..Did you have these symptoms before the meds.. ??

As for wether you have been off the meds long enough .. Well , yeah because you really didn't give it much of a chance to work..

But as a rule of thumb , Please contact your doc and make sure ...
