oh the bible said this so that means this. or something like that. people just point out little stuff in the bible and its just to annoy people. mmm well isnt the bible supposed to be taken literally? umm i dunno help me!!

A lot of the Bible is literal, a lot of it is metaphorical, a lot of it is both.
I don't totally mind people nitpicking it, or understanding it differently than me - I mean, at least they're reading it.

the Bible has history, literature, stories, symbolism and the youngest part of it was written 2000 years ago - you cant simply read it and understand all the meanings, there is a lot of research and study that must go into it and no all of it is not to be taken litterally
