My daughter is small for her age, as I have always been. 5th percentile for weight and 10th for height. Just wondering how a normal size 2 yr. old measures up!

My 2.5 y/o daughter will actually turn 3 next month, but she is also very petite at 25 lbs. & about 34.5 or 35 in. tall. She's the size of most 1.5 to 2 y/o toddlers I see around, and people think she's about that age until she opens her mouth and starts talking like a 4-5 y/o! I don't even know what percentile she's in these days; probably 0-5%, at least for weight.

She's my sixth child, and all but one (#4) were fairly petite, usually hanging out in the 5-10% on the growth charts. My one bigger child weighed about 30 lbs. at age 2, probably around 35 at age 3. Still not huge, but much bigger than what I was used to!

For the record, I was a petite child, and am still a petite adult (5'4"). Hubby is tallish at 6' as an adult, but he was always a scrawny little kid growing up.

My daughter will be two on April 3rd and her weight ranges anywhere from 22 to 24 pounds. She is still in 18 month clothes, especially pants. She can wear some 24 month shirts though. She has always worn bigger tops than bottoms. Her waist is just so small. It seems like she's been the same size for a long time now because whatever she gains, she seems to lose again because of teething and not wanting to eat. Her dad is always worried she's too small, but the doctor says she's normal and there is nothing to worry about.

I don't remember what size my daughter was at 2, I just know she was very small. She is now 8 1/2 years old and weighs 45 pounds when weighed yesterday and is about 3 foot tall. She is in third grade and is the smallest. By her size, she would fit in with the little ones in first grade better.
