Allow me some examples taken from the popular culture to make my point. In the movie, Constantine, the movie's main character tells Angela Dobson, who desires to know more about the "hidden world" around her, that when she does there is no going back to life as she knew it. Constantine tells her, "You will be able to see them, and they [demonic forces] will see you, too."

In one of the earliest modern day depictions of evil, The Exorcist, we find Regan MacNeil playing around with a Quija board, and later being physically possessed by demons.

If I am to draw a pattern between these two fictional examples and real life, the pattern is similar to what we would read in the Bible. When one exposes oneself to supernatural influences outside orthodox Christianity, there is a very real likelihood that one could come under demonic attack. In the case of poor Regan above, we see in the many sequels to The Exorcist, that she continued to be subjected to demonic influences. This is easy to understand when one considers the admonition:

Luk 11:24 "When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and finding none it says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.'

Luk 11:25 And when it comes, it finds the house and put in order.

Luk 11:26 Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there. And the last state of that person is worse than the first."

Here we see that while Regan in the Exorcist movie had her demons exorcised (swept) from her, nothing was done to protect her spiritually to prevent even greater misfortune once she had opened herself up to the forces of evil:

1Pe 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

It has nothing to do with Religious beliefs....
All is energy a scientific fact.
The ouija board is know to draw energy and
most generally that of a lower kind....
Thus you get knownothing disincarnets or low energy
spirits that need help moving through the energy
levels or dimensional holes.
Stay away from it.
Go within in meditation instead and find the uplifted Spirits

I would think that it would be bad for me if I did. I do think that they work, and I do think that they connect people with what is around them in the spirit world. I do not think that there are spirits that used to be human beings walking around on the earth. I think that those that associate with ouija boards are demonic. They communicate with humans in order to confuse people about what's really going on.

So, yes. I would think it's a bad thing.

Before I could answer that you would have to answer Why are you using it?

If it is to contact the dead I think it is bad for ALL to play with. As the intelligent would not enter a dark cave without a light or knowing what is in there a person should not go into this game blind and without knowledge.

I don't know. I'd just be reluctant to. But I have to admit that that would be more out of superstition than anything else. People have basically said that it's evil and only bad things come from it. Isn't that how the film 'the exorcist' started?
