Being in the army, i know how stressful bootcamp can be and its the other way around he needs you more than anything right now. Hopefully your feelings are true for him b/c you don't know how many girls left there guys when they went to bootcamp and that is only 9 weeks its not like they were deployed. So many guys joined the army just to take care of there girl and their girl left them, if you really need him you will be by him. Write him letters b/c we don't get to talk on the phone or watch tv. Letters become your favorite time of the day and your only contact to the outside world, it is what helps you maintain some sanity while you are there. Especially the first one b/c he probably won't get them for about a week or two so you get a whole stack the first time they are really nice b/c you are just getting situated when you get your first letters. Its a sad moment its ok to cry, but be proud of your b/f b/c only one percent of the population has the balls to join the military and we are out their defending everyones freedom that they so dearly enjoy. Go to meps with your b/f when he says his oath and make sure you are there that day to say goodbye. Enjoy i think its 7 weeks for the navy and it will go by quick then you can join him later on be proud and stand by his decision and write him letters when you can.

That sucks. I had a boyfriend in the military and it was very hard because he was gone a lot and I went for long stretches of time without seeing him (a year once). If you love each other and you are both committed you can make it work. Just make sure to make the most of the time you have with him and make sure you are both on the same page as to what each other wants before he leaves.

I have no doubt you love him! But I do think it would be good for you to be away from him and get to know yourself. You should never feel like you need a man to survive. I went thru that for 7yrs and stayed in a bad marriage, until he cheated on me and left me for another woman. Trust me you want him but you dont NEED him! Let him go and your relationship will grow

i understand how you feel. My boyfriend is in the army and i miss him tremendously. Keep your schedule full of things to do and make lots of new friends to stop thinking so much about him. Thinking too much about him will make you crazy.

yeah, i have the same situation, u just need to support him and know that your love can withstand any water, no matter how deep!
But depending on what he's doing and where he's going, you could possible go with him and live on base, you should check into those options!
