I just joined weight watchers and I know I need to be drinking 6-8 glasses a day and I dont even drink a sip! It is so blah to me. I even tried those on the go crystal lights (lemon flavor) and I like those but does it count for weight watchers? or is it not considered water anymore? I dont know if I can count that as a glass...well I drink 16 oz of it so that would be 2 cups of water if I can count it. I cannot drink too much of that either...tastes funny. OH and what about iced tea? I used the 0 calorie sweet n low.

According to Weight Watchers you are supposed to drink 6 servings of water a day. Half of that can be from sugar free, caffine free bevrages. Two of those can be skim milk. Now you're at 5 and if you miss the last one, it's not the end of the world. One glass is equal to 8 oz or 1 cup...

Ice tea won't count. In general you can count any de-caff beverage as a water item, on WW you need to make sure it doesn't have calories as well.

However artificial sweeteners are bad for you, so try to get to plain water slowly.

I just saw the post above mine and wanted to add: Waiting till you are thirsty is a bad idea, by then your body is already dehydrated, another thing drinking water is to help you avoid.

I use the off brand Crystal Light that has 0 calories (from Wal-Mart). There are many different flavors--I really like the grape and orange! You need to watch your calories with Crystal Light, it can add up. It does still count as your water, but you need to try to get in plain water as well.

Boy do I understand. I hate water-Even in the jungles Vietnam I put cool aide in my water.

In the 70s I lost 130 pounds on weight watchers.
i never drank the water straight.

Now I drink the Lipton Diet Green tea. What ever works for you.

I have a friend that used the Crystal lite and slowly reduced the amount until she drank plain water.

Good Luck.

Screw what people tell you , if your purpose is to lose weight , flavor your water , I did!

good luck

remember there are 24 hours in a day. Only drink when you are thirsty. No one has problems drinking water when they are thirsty. NO ONE! and we as humans become thirsty enough through out the day to drink 6-8 glasses a day.
Avoid those other drinks filled with 200 ingredients, even if they are 0 cals, they can't be to good for the body.

You need to drink water. Crystal light is not good for you, the artificial sweetener is a chemical. Water is extremely good for you and has many benefits. Try drinking purified water with minerals added. That in my opinion is the best for you and you will get used to it and start to enjoy the purity of plain water.

hello. i used to hate water but when i learned how essential and necessary it is, i make myself drink at least 4 glasses of plain water... to the rest of water that i drink, i add iced tea powder, crystal light of any flavors, lemon juice, etc... make sure it's all SUGAR-FREE... sugar-free beverage powders have 0 points in WW, so you are good to go! also, try using real lemons to make lemonades and sweeten it with splenda! it's so good!! good luck :)
