What I cant figure out is they say we have a spirit that leaves our body when we die and that one day we will be able to meet up with our loved ones who have departed before us , how would anyone know who anyone else was since we no longer would have our bodies for anyone else to reconize who we were. And if we have this spirit that can see hear and speak and think with out our bodies then why doesnt this spirit take over when someone looses thier sight or recieves a head trauma and is left in a vegetation state. Or if this so called spirit takes the form of our body after it leaves the body when the person dies does that mean that someone who died being blown up into a million pieces spirit would be in a million pieces too. Or how is it that supposedly from what the bible says that after jesus died on the cross three days later his body was gone and he came back to life but was in a different body and adventually went up to heaven body and all yet now they say they found his remains. Or where is heaven hiding at up in the sky waiting for the day to come down to earth with its pearly gates and transparent gold streets. I wouldnt call religion a fairy tale since it is more like a science fiction to me but everyone is intitled to thier beliefs . It is amazing tho how there are all these paintings and statues resembling people with wings but yet as far as I know no one has ever seen these winged people flying around. Another thing I always wondered is where do all the angels and god and jesus do thier laundry at since they are always shown to be wearing white robes. Or where they get thier shampoo at or bathe for all that .

Quite serious. When comparing our faith to a fairy tale, think about this. Less than a hundred years ago, the idea of man flying around in the air as a means of travel seemed like a fairy tale too. But, in time, some "fairy tales" have a tendency to become reality.

It looks like a fairy tale to you because you're afraid to find out that you're not in charge - of anything. You're unwilling to humble yourself and your arrogance is a wall between you and the Lord.

You are probably perfectly willing to believe anything written down about Alexander the Great, knowledge of whom is based on some old scraps in Latin and Greek, but not Jesus Christ. That would be because Alexander is no threat to your personal sovereignty and self image, but Christ is.

You know, in one sense it does seem like a fairy tale. That knowing my sinful nature, and yours and everyone else in the world, that God would want to spend any time with us. Yet, He does and has created a way by which we all may be saved. And all it takes is to believe. I know you can believe. You believe in air and you have never seen it. You believe in death and have never experienced it. So who says you can't believe in virgin birth and salvation through merely believing in Jesus Christ. You know, if you are right, what have I lost by my faith and belief. But, if you are wrong what have you lost ------- forever.

Because, as self-centered humans, the concept of a God who loved us enough to send His only SON to suffer and die for OUR sins (past, present, and future) is a LOT for some minds to grasp on to! But it's ALL true and there were eyewitnesses to each and every account - including eyewitness testimony of unbelievers! Science has also proven the Bible to be true. But some have hardened their hearts against Him....

Romans 1:24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

Yes, that is funny. But the theory of evolution is even funnier. One day there was nothing and then something came out of that nothing. Decided to multiply and so here we are. one cell, two cell, three cell, four, five cell, six cell, seven cell, more. Sounds like a nursery rhythm. And so not only no angels or virgins, but no nothing at all, becomes something. lol.

Oh they're very serious.

And yet, they laugh at Hindu beliefs that defy humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but they have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.

Because it begins with once upon a time, has good stuff about the people you hate becoming crispy critters for all eternity, and the pretty chosen ones get to live happily ever after with the jolly giant in the sky.

Funny thing is that, at one time, cars seemed like a fairy tale.
