A question like this can only come from one who sees themselves as the Physical form of Matter.
You/we are not in reality our human form.
But Spirit or Soul having a human experience ...
What ever the belief on ascension (the raising up) it is
the SOUL or SPIRIT that ascends not the physical matter.
Matter will become lighter as it fills with more light as the
spirit raises and then it will be in what is Lightbody form
as was Jesus when he was seen after his Physical Death
by the disciples.
This about Light carrying consciousness is known in Physics.
It does not need to be taken on Faith anymore.
Metaphysics or Religion it is similuar to fiber optic science.
