I have started running everyday about one hour. is this enough to get rid of the fat or is there a certain type of diet that women with apple shapes should follow?

You're doing the hardest part of doing the right thing already.

But, as with many things, balance, not excess, is the key.
So you shouldn't be doing the hour workouts more than twice a week...do too many of these in a row, routinely, and your body will actually start storing fat in fear of running out of fuel.

Two of your workout days should be interval training (slow then fast then slow then fast) and should only be 15-25 minutes, preferably early in the day...this helps the body naturally burn more calories/increase metabolism for the rest of that day. Another trick is try sit-ups/push-ups and strength training every morning to push up your metabolism for that day (plus build muscle that naturally burns some fat for you as your heart has to burn more calories to rebuild and pump blood through the new muscle).

The other thing is high protein/fat foods fill you up faster than high carb foods and can help you keep your calorie intake down.
REMEMBER: WHAT YOU LOSE = CALORIES BURNED IN EXERCISE & BY METABOLISM - CALORIES ATE
The Zone Diet is the best I've seen for long-term weight loss, is focuses on eating in a way that
A) makes your body burn not store fat (like Atkins...only Atkins does this by depriving your body certain nutrients)
B) unlike fad diets like Atkins, doesn't "starve" your body and gives your body the right combination of fats/protien/carbs (30%/30%/40%) to keep the weight off after you graduate from the diet. Zone makes you healthier, not simply thinner.

I definitely commend you on running every day...that's a great start. Make sure that you incorporate other exercises, too, like cycling, which also offers great calorie burn. You should also add a strength training component...recently, a Japanese study was published which showed that women lost something like 10% to 20% extra fat off their bellies when they combined strength training with aerobics. You might also want to try yoga, because extra weight on the belly can be caused by stress.
Someone with alot of fat on their belly is also very prone to diabetes and heart disease. You should cut all trans fats out of your diet...they settle right on the midsection, and around the organs, which is incredibly dangerous. You should also cut excess sugar, which is a major contributor to belly fat. Try to eat more healthy fats, like those found in nuts, legumes and fish. Eat more whole grains, and especially focus on fibre, which will help get rid of extra belly fat. Don't smoke, and limit alcohol intake, which can both cause fat gain. Its all pretty common sense stuff...you just need to take care of yourself :)

Stick with it. Toss in some cross training, swimming, other cardio. Make sure your diet is healthy and balanced. Like the person above me said, you've already done the hardest part, getting started. Lift some weights, that will help burn the fat. Take a chisel or toning class if you like the group thing. You're def on the right track!!!

Good luck!

Come on, sunshine.....You are what you are, and there is nothing much you can do about it.
A man's perspective. 'She looks good, I will chat her up'. But chances are, she will be boring, full of her self importance. OK for a one-night stand. She won't get a follow-up phone call - but even if she does, it's only for one thing.....
Personality is far more important. The figure will fade in later life - personality doesn't.
Take your shape. Accept it. Be happy with yourself, and live your life.
You may not be the first invited onto the dance floor - but you will still be dancing when the empty-heads are doing their knitting!
Just stop worrying about your shape. It doesn't count for that much....
Good hunting!

to burn fat you need to stay active, so running is great. But you also need to have a lowfat diet so you can lose inches. Also doing crunches is good so you can tone up. Hope this helps.
