people to shut up!
well just asking a question oh and why do people ask why???
people talk non stop and you tell them to be quiet but the yget louder how do you get them to SHUT UP!

Ask them, 'sorry, could you be a bit more quiet, I'm trying to concentrate/to read/etc'? A lot will depend on where you are asking too, if you're anywhere in public people have as much right to talk as you have not to... but in a library or school class or something they should listen if they have any manners at all. If not, quietly see a teacher or librarian about it, but don't cause a scene, that's only more disruptive.

Try lowering your voice to almost a whisper. Then they have to quiet down to hear you.
