i am wondering about this. God asks us to live from the spirit, but falling in love is a physical thing, isn't it? so to fall in love is to let your flesh be a desider? I mean, sure body and soul should work together on this, but...I can't help but wondering if there isn't a more divine way to choose your partner?
so.. will your spirit tell you if it is the one? or should you just choose someone you really like as a person and then remain faithfull the way jopeph was to mary?

There is a divine way of chosing your partner.

Loving him and her for their good qualities like: wisdom, positive outlook on life, being humble no matter how rich, etc

When your divine side meets the divine side of another, and you feel like youve met your match in terms of good qualities, youll fall in love ^^

Falling in love is not a "physical" thing...that's called LUST.
Body and soul CAN'T work together. They are complete opposites.
Think about the "divine" part of what you are looking for. The "divine" way of choosing a partner would insinuate that you ignore all hard facts on only feel, and in turn, believe your way thru. The problem is that if you don't use an open mind and consider the hard physical facts, you will be making a big mistake. Example...Have you ever heard of the people that are MADLY "in love", yet any time you see them together, they do nothing but fight and abuse eachother?
Your last is right...Find someone you love as a person (which should include compatible beliefs) and give it a shot. BTW..."Faithfulness" is never a guarantee...It's a daily re-commitment and defines the "honor" of a person.

First of all the definition of Love is as follows:
"4Love is long-suffering and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, does not get puffed up, 5 does not behave indecently, does not look for its own interests, does not become provoked. It does not keep account of the injury. 6 It does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth. 7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails." - 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
And "He that does not love has not come to know God, because God is love. " - 1John 4:8.
Love is not a physical thing.... It is a spiritual thing. To choose a partner you should just need to find out whether he has love for God and for humans and that he lives according to the will of God and abide by his standards and maintain integrity with God and his loved ones.

I agree and disagree with your comments about love. I agree that God wants us to love from the heart and spirit, but I dont think that love is a physical thing. The act of showing love can be a physical thing but love in and of itself, in my opinion come from the heart. After all, isnt giving someone a hug or a kiss an physical act of showing love but if the emotion doesnt start from your heart, its fake. Just my thoughts.

First, you would have to know what love is...especially what God's love is. You should seek God's love first before seeking love from others. Read 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Also, if you are led by the Holy Spirit, He will let you know whether this person is the one for you.

In some religions, sex is considered apart of being spiritual. You have to ask the question of yourself, what is right for you? Never mind what you have been taught, examine your feelings and trust your intuition.

Now you know why it's called "making" love.

You create love while screwing around.

Nobody ever fell in love while entertaining pure thoughts.
