If you do not display your e-mail or IM, don't respond to this question. I will be looking at the profiles, and if you are missing these, I will completely ignore your response.

Bible verses or texts will help, but won't gaurantee anything.

If you wish to discuss the bible with me through IM I would love to.

Please keep your responses short, but precise. Using a lot of words is not going to make me think it is a more educated response, simply a longer response, that may be beating around the bush without telling me any basic doctrines.

Wow... feel free to ignore this...

Basic doctrines...
God created everything.
Humans screwed things up.
God redeemed everything by sending his son, Jesus, to die for us.

I'm sure there's more...

I added you to my contacts; I hope that is sufficient. If not, you can look up melanieg on Yahoo 360 and reach me that way.

I believe the bible based doctrines include:

1) Believe that Christ died for our sins and rose on the third day in the same body that was crucified
2)we are all born in sin, but are saved by grace through faith, not by works or deeds. (However, if we are saved, we will do good works out of our love for God)
3) the Holy Trinity is God in three persons: God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit
4) the bible is the inspired word of God
5) accepting Christ as Savior & Lord is the ONLY way to salvation: baptism by water is public acknowledgement of one's decision to follow Christ.
6) God wants a RELATIONSHIP with people, not religion.

There are more; these are just some of the basics.

Here is what I believe:
We believe in one Creator God manifested in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Bible is God's inerrant and infallible word to the human race.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the incarnate Son of God born of a virgin.
We believe that His crucifixion atoned for the sins of the world and that He was resurrected on the third day.
We believe that the Son ascended to the right hand of the Father and then sent the Holy Spirit to His church.
We believe in the removal of the Church at the First Resurrection before the Great Tribulation.
We believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in bodily form to rule the nations for one thousand years.
We believe in water baptism by immersion and in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of tongues.
We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit as revealed in the Bible will be manifested until Jesus returns.
We believe that Jesus' command to preach the Gospel to every creature and to make disciples of all nations is to be obeyed by every Christian and by every local church.
