I was pals with him for over ten years but it was always on the provisal that we were neighbours and he fancied me. He now has a family of his own and our parents had a big fall out, so no longer speak to each other. He has come to visit his mum & dad with his family and I don't know weather to ignore them and let by gone be by gones or aproach him as I feel if I didn't, that would be it. I'm not sure how long they are here for, so I need to act quick, if I'm to do anything! Please help!

I think if you were friends with him for 10 years there must be something to the friendship. If you want to talk to him to be able to remain friends then sure you should talk to him, lifelong friends are hard to come by. However, if you are wanting to talk to him because you are wanting a romantic relationship then maybe you should stay away. He has a family and it would not be right for you to try to come between him and his family.

Your and his parents fall out has nothing to do with the friendship the both of you had shared for so many years. Go ahead and say hello, ask him how he has been. Show him that you are not picking sides and wish to continue being friends with him. Just because he has a family is no reason not to maintain your friendship with him. To have friends is a gift from God, we must always treasure our friends. Best of luck to you!

There is no reason not to speak to him unless you are planning to wreck his marriage. The flowery details are pointless if its a simple case of our parents don't talk, should we?. it was unnecessary to say that he is married unless you think he's after it or you are. I'm sure the fact that he is now married should tell you he's not interested anymore. If he is then you shouldn't bother with him as he's not worth it, and if you're after a bit then i suggest you take a cold shower, find a nice single guy and get over yourself.
If it is just a case of our parents don't talk, they should be mature enough to understand that you are not them, and you are a grown up and their quarrel is their quarrel.

It depends what your intentions are. Please don't think that you can win him over. He has a family now and you don't want to get involved in all that.
i would make an effort to say hello to see how he is. You'd probably kick yourself if you didn't. Just remember only friendship could come of this.

the dispute is between your parents! Theres nothing wrong with you saluting him if you see him - bear in mind he may not salute back due to family loyalties over this dispute - but at least you'll be the bigger person and make the effort!

You should f his brains out. He would like it - I think I would if some old flames came around for a no strings shag.

theoretically, you should talk to him..
practically, you need to explore more aspects like if it would be considered bad if you visit their place and how his reaction would be, will you be talking to his parents and family...etc.
