Hi, I am 19 and i work late-ish hours, i work part time 6pm to 10pm, i eat healthily in the day but after work i always feel hungary and ive heard your not meant to eat late! i usually have a sandwich or like chicken and potatoes etc (im a hugely fussy eater btw) i was wondering if anybody had any ideas on what i could eat that late, which is healthy. Also i have just started to run about 2 miles everyday and start the morning with stretches, crunches etc is this good for toning and weight loss or do i need some variety? Im not fat, im a UK size 8 but feel the need to lose just a little more plus ive started figure skating lessons so wanna b fit for those! any tips or advice would be great! thanx!

Carry on with the activities that's fine, you don't need to loose weight I think just tone up. Eat fruit and nuts at night nothing heavy. This way your not stocking up on bulky carbs yet you've got enough to get you going the next morning with your workout. When you do your supermarket shopping get a variety to get you through part of the week or two and as you run out before your next trip to the supermarket visit your local mini market or most cities have market stalls to stock up with great fresh fruits from around the world.

Set yourself a time limit for running, don't restrict yourself to two miles full stop. The reason being, if you've just started then your going to get better and so you'll have done your two miles quicker than when you started and you could get bored and so a possibility of de-motivation kicking in. Time your self and do say 20-30 min and slowly and gradually lengthen your distance but keeping your time the same, or the fitter you get you could increase your time. Take varied, but of course safe and well known, routes to keep motivated.

Good luck and respect for doing what your doing.

Running is good for you and should be enough exercise for someone your age. As for the eating try some vitamins instead of food. Some spirulina will cut down on your eating (it is a very potent multivitamin just be careful you have to make sure you are not allergic to algae of any kind). Also take some vitamin b complex which will not only give energy but help your body rebuild after your morning runs. Also some flax seed oil is good for the hunger thingand contains fatty acids which are essential to the body, but as a woman give it a test run because one its a oil which may effect your skin and two it helps you poop so make sure you dont go over board with it.

Eating late is kind of bad. It just sits in your stomach and doesn't really get burned off. But some great low-cal and light dinners that won't just sit in your stomach are soup and half a sandwich, tuna with low-fat mayo on crackers, steamed veggies with seasonings, or things like that.

As far as exercises, you may want to get some hand weights and start lifting those. That's a great way to get toned up.

You might want to try soymilk or nonfat milk with muesli to appease your hunger pangs.(cut back on carbs at night.)It will fill you up but at the same time you won't have to feel any guilt.

Aero first thing in the morning even for 20 mins like what you are already doing will work.Exercising before you eat causes the body to use stored fat.

Happy figure skating! :)

Eat your dinner before work at 5:30, then after work eat some fresh fruit like an apple.

everything you are doing is fine , you are fine to eat at night as long as it is not stodgy food or sweets greasy etc , ,just try to keep it light like plain chicken no skin brown bread soup is a good thing as well or some vegatables,, fruits just don't bulk up keep it light .
