it is best to shave in the shower or tub not dry! sounds like your skin is sensitive you can buy shaving cream or gel for extra sensitive skin. is this does not work them try usuing baby oil instead. it sounds crazy but it works on your area done there to not get a rash or anything so it may work on your pits also. One other thing it may be your deorderete. try the new dove one that helps smooth your skin. you may also want to put lotion or after shave on after you shave. cause you either have sensitive skin or it is drying out your skin.

Shave when your armpits are dry with a clean disposable shaver and don't reuse them either. Guaranteed no rash. Be careful not to scrape your skin though.

do not shave against the direction of hair growth, this will give you in grown hair which is really itchy and may cause rashes.
ideally you should shave while taking a bath since the hair is soft when its wet, this will facilitate effective removal of hair without damaging your skin.
