try the government institutions in your area. they need translators at the courts, immigration points, consulates. i would have thought persian might be useful for some oil companies also.

You would be better off in a large city such as New York because of the diversity of the population. Try the courts or some local attorneys who might need translators for court cases involving people from those countries. I know someone who did that type of work in NY some years ago. Also, contact one of the embassies in the area. What are your other credentials? have you though of teaching?

You might not find those languages useful in Texas, but I know you can get a job with the CIA, the Army, the UN or perhaps become a foreign service officer.

I would go to either the military, CIA or FBI. Each of those places should have local offices in your area.
